We're new!
We're new here and are very excited to have support! I am 37 yr old School Nurse with hubby and two kids! My 13 yr old son is insulin resistant. My daughter is 10.5 and dances, so is naturally concerned with her appearance. My husband is 35 and also could lose a few! we have tried several diets in the past and are currently trying to be reasonable in creating a new "lifestyle change" for us all. My son's dietician recommends a sugarbuster for kids type idea, Dad likes the mediteranean approach and I'm trying to watch fats and calories. I guess you could say we are doing "the sugarbuster, low fat, more fiber and whole grain mediteranean diet" Rachel gets plenty of exercise being at the dance school 7-8 hours a week, but this is a weak spot for the rest of us. I will be looking for ideas to get motivated and moving as well as creative ideas to sneak in some more veggies!
