Thumbs up 300+ and Ready To Try Again... 644

WELCOME !!!

We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs.

We want to invite everyone to join us in our journey.
We share laughter and tears.
We share what works for us and what doesn't.
We often use a "Topic of the Day" for discussion.

Motivational Monday
Tuesday Tips
Wednesday Wish List .. and What you are doing to obtain it.
Thankful Thursday
FUN Friday ... don't wait until you lose your weight.
Sit-up Saturdays - any physical activity
Share your Success Sunday

These are not required topics ...just ideas to share. We often find them very helpful. We also share heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations.

We have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, and more. Please feel free to check them all out.

We have a bi-weekly 2x2 Challenge.
Our goal is to lose 2 lbs in 2 weeks.
We have a long term goal of losing 300+ lbs within our 300+ group in 2005.

We have found this thread to be more than just a support group...
we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us.

WELCOME!

Default Message from BarbPA

I recieved this info from BarbPA. I wanted to share it here so we can all send her our prayers. Here is her message.....

"We learned tonight that my mother is not going to survive.
A ventilator is the only thing keeping her with us right now.
My dad, brother and I have a serious decision to make about removing the vent.
In addition, Jeff and I have a decision to make about continuing our IVF cycle.
We are going to see the Dr. in the morning before we decide.

I'll update you when I have a chance and have more information.

Love,
Barb

Please keep her in your prayers.

I got the Feb Challenge posted.
I need anyone in the running for winning the January Snowflake Challenge to post your count on that thread ASAP.
We have TWO with enough snowflakes to have a snowball fight.
:snf:
Anyone else want in on it.

Default Help!

Let me try again. Can some of you computer smart ladies tell me how to change my tracker???? I can create a new one, but I can't figure out how to erase the old one and install the new one. HELP!

I am so sorry to hear of the sickness in BarbPas family. I will say a prayer for the whole family. I know what it is like.

Could I be included in this? Is it basically just a challenge to lose 2lbs in 2 weeks? Thanks!

I will be-
If you go to the page where you edit your signature...the code for the tracker will be in there. If you scroll the box over to the right you will see the original weights you put in. Just make the changes as necessary, taking care not to change any code. It is really easy, but if I didnt explain it well, let me know and I will try again.

Dimples!

Yep, Dimples, you're in now! It is our way of focusing on a small amount of weight for a small period of time and doing what we need to do for that small increment of time and weight. Otherwise, it gets so overwhelming when you think of the long haul and if you have a lot to lose.

I am so very sorry for BarbPA. My heart breaks for her. She'll be in my prayers.

Marcie - I never thought of just changing the numbers in the tracker code. I've been recreating and repasting the code over the old. Thanks for the tip!

I have blood test and a mammogram this morning. Yippee! But its necessary part of life.

Better go post my snowflakes!

Question

Marcie, I must be stupid! I went to the edit page and I don't have a clue about scrolling right??? ARGGGHHH! Is it the numbers or what? I haven't seen a page with the weights on it except when I made my tracker. I have a feeling I will have this one forever. I feel so dumb! Iwillbe

OK...when you go to the edit page...do you see a text box with some code in it?

At the bottom of the box, there is a scroll bar....because the text goes way to the right, athough you cant see it. If you keep scrolling the text to the right with the scroll bar then you can see your weights inside the code. Just edit them there.

Hope this helps! If not, maybe someone else can help me explain. I am horrible at giving directions!

BarbPA, You and your family are all in my thoughts and prayers. This isn't an easy time for you and I wish I was close enough to offer a hug and a shoulder.

Marcie, I went back again! I think my problem is that I don't see a scroll bar for right and left. Nada! Any ideas? Iwillbe.

You may not the scroll bar...your text may all be showing.

Go to the forum tab, click on control panel, and then edit signature.

You should see text in the box that looks something like this:

url=http://www.3fatchicks.com/weight-tracker/index.php img http://url=http://www.3fatchicks.com...327/190/312.4/ /img /url

All you need to do is change the weights in the HTML text.

Morning all. I imagine BarbPA won't be reading us for a while, but I know she's in my thoughts and yours and I hope all our good vibes are getting to her somehow.

Circles--Welcome!

Thin--I didn't even realize people sold clothes on Ebay! What with the fees and everything, is it profitable at all? Thanks for the encouragement on the potty breaks... I really will try to be better. Oh, and I guess I'm not likely to be at the Spring Fling, though maybe I can make it for just a day... end of April is a terrible time for me, since it's the last week of classes.

Debbie--Good attitude for the new month! Where do you shop? I'm in downstate Ill... we should get together and shop sometime. I hate it too, of course, but I hate even worse going with my normal size friends who keep saying, oh, here's an XL... as if that would fit!

2cute--Thanks for the info on BarbPA.

Have a great OP day, everybody.

Woke up to a sunny day here in OHIO. I'm ready to go traveling. Cross-Country Challenge here I come !

BarbPa--Sorry to hear about your Mom, my prayers are with you and your
family.

Went to the heart doctor with my better half yesterday. He had
a stent put in last Aug. Now he's been getting more of his
dizzy spells again. Dr thinks his heart if O.K. now, but is sending
him for TILT test and checking his veins in neck for clogging.
Boy, I use real teck terms Huh! His appointments are Friday.
So we'll see. Of course we won't see the Dr. again for a month
to find out the results.

Iwillbe--Glad to know someone else is not computer savy. I guess
thats why they make ( Computer books for Dummies) like me, but
the thing is I read them and still don't understand them.
to the other ladies I learned something also today. Haven't tried it
out yet but I'm going too.
Hope everyone is staying OP, and earning a lot of cars. Drink your
Water-Exercise - Journal- and earn your Bonus Planes
Talk to all later!
