Smile new to group, but need a buddy

Hi all

New to group, but I do need a buddy, to push me when I need it. I want to lose 55 pds by the beginning of this summer. I want to get to 200 pds, and it has been a while since I weighed that. Sometimes it has been hard and it took be nearly 2 years but I have lost a 110 pds. I just want to make this short term goal, I don't want to quite until I make it

Take care
Susan

Susan-
Hey! 110 lbs- that's amazing- congratulations!

That's exactly why I'm here as well- to find someone who will push me. I've just started and haven't lost much yet, but this isn't my first time on the merry-go-round. Somehow it's easier for me to plan a diet and exercise routine than it is to follow it.

I have a similar goal- I want to lose 60 lbs by July. 10 lbs a month, approximately.

I'll push you if you push me.

I live out in the country, in alabama. I have 3 children 2 in high school and one who is a police officer. I look back and I am not sure how I got that big
but somehow I managed. well enough for now, got to get the kids going to school.

Talking Yay!

Thanks, Susan- I'm very excited about this.

I live in New Orleans. No kids- 2 large dogs and a cat with a lot of attitude, though. Very single.

Unfortunately, I do know how I got this way- but I'm looking forward to starting a new chapter in my life.

Fridays work for me- I'm doing South Beach too! (although I've never been able to stick with Phase 1- so I skipped to Phase 2 this time).

Cool Great a southerner like me

Hi

If phase2 gets you to where you want to be, and it works that is all that matters right. Sometimes I think cats and dogs would be easier than kids ha,ha, Little joke there. I am doing pretty good today, but like
everybody I have my day, when it isn't so good. Sometimes It feels like. I have been dieting forever. I want to be down to a reasonable size, I want to
feel good again about myself. I have come so far, but it seems, I have a long ways to go, I guess, I just have to keeps taking those baby steps, that is all I can do for now. New Orleans! WoW! that has to be exciting and beautiful to live there, I am a old house fanatic, I love old furniture, and old houses. I live in the middle of nowhere, and the most excitement, I get is an ole turtle crossing the road ha, ha. I have to little toy poodles myself daisy and shaggy, they are so spoiled, my kids laugh at me sometimes. Well, I got some chore to do, Hope your day goes well.

Take care
Susan

That's my theory. In this one particular case, it IS the destination and NOT the journey that matters.

You have been dieting forever, really. Two years is a long time- but look at how far you've come! You have achieved so much! I'm really impressed.

We're going to get there. I have faith in us. In the immortal words of Nike, just do it. Right? Any time you're feeling funky, send me an email (I'm not supposed to put it here, but I'll put it in my member info).

I do love New Orleans- I grew up here and recently moved back (which is the impetus for finally losing weight- when I see people that I knew in high school, they look at me as if I have been in some debilitating accident since I've gained 100 lbs). I currently live in a house that was built in the 1800's (renovated many times since, though). I love old houses, too- there's something about the history behind it all.

Sometimes I think that it would be nice to be somewhere quieter, though.
