I'm so glad its thursday, yahooooo !! tomorrow I am taking 1/2 a day off b/c I am going to go w/my neice and her classmates (and my DD) to a movie, its the new one with the Super Hero's ?? can't think of the name. Well my DD has never been to a movie so I really wanted to take her for her first one

Whats everyone doing for ThanksGiving ? We are having the inlaws but thats it.

April !! good to see you yesterday on the boards. Do you like making applesauce ? I ask b/c I notice you do it alot, I bet it taste 1000x better than store bought. Do you have one of those weird contraptions that you have to put the apples in and grind up ? MMM sounds great.

Good Morning Gang!

not much traffic out this morning. some of the schools are closed along with the banks and post office. it was nice not to be moving slowly in traffic.

Leenie - the name of that movie is "The Incredibles" and everybody (even cool teenagers hehe) are saying they love it. Hopefully ya'll will like it too. I love the commercial where the superhero dude is trying to buckle his belt and his wife says "dinner is ready" and he says "maybe just a salad" TOOOOOOOOO CUTE!

Well I have lots to do and better get to it.

Good morning everyone.....it is an overcast day here.....I am waking up earlier these days.....when I was on the regular antidepressants.......I was sleeping an extra 5 hours a day.....now I don't even have naps.

I have stayed with the natural antidepressants....that the naturopath prescribed......my DH wanted me to go back on the Celexa because of the cost of the natural antidepressants & the vitamins I have to take wirh them. I even went to the doctor....got a prescription for the Celexa.....but the pharmacist said I would have to wean myself off the natural antidepressants over a month.....she said you can't take both at the same time.....there is something called seratonin syndrome.....that could be dangerous.

So I thought......it's not the right time of the year to be switching between the 2.....I am trying to cut back in other ways.

Leenie.....I don't think I have made applesauce since last fall. I have a food press thing....don't know exactly what it's called.....it's a cone shaped contraption with small holes all over it......it sits on this metal thing....there is also a wooden thing.....it's thick & at least 6 to 8 inches long.....you use it to press the cooked apples through into a bowl.....it is a 1000 times better than the store bought applesauce.
I don't peel the apples.....so the applesauce has a bit of a rosy color.

Today is called Remembrance Day here in Canada....in our province it is a holiday....the kids are off school today.....it isn't a holiday in all the provinces though.....a lot of the stores are open today.

Morning Ladies!

Cathy – Yeah only for work am I up on my feet all the time, then at school I sit down and don’t wanna get up hehehe. Thank you… Brit is well, no more problems, but who knows what may have triggered it, and who knows if it will happen again. But, I know we can work through this… baby steps is the answer to just about everything (even my weight loss plan *grins* )

Leenie – Thanksgiving… bribing my sister to cook for me? Or… making Brit and James cook LOL! I have papers galore so I’ll be doing homework. I was hoping to hibernate!

April – Hi there! Long time no see! How are things? All this applesauce talk is making me drool LOL!

Kierie - That's a beautiful name how is it pronounced? (Keer-ree) ? I find the excuses have come back big time, once I got on a groove they sorta disappeared. I've fallen into a slump and they've snuck back in. I'm hoping at the end of this term which ends December 11th that I'll be able to get back into the swing of things and keep it that way for when winter terms starts in January. I'm not taking as many classes as I have this term, so I hope those excuses stay away hehehe. Thanks on the comments about my picture. I figured if I took a starting picture, I'd have something to compare to where I am now. I don't see the weight loss looking in the mirror, but the pictures sure do help!

I didn’t get a chance to come by yesterday to read the posts, so I tried responding to them today. We have a plumber coming out to fix a leak in our toilet so I’m ditching class today Shhhh! I don’t have work and I don’t work tomorrow YAY! Two days off, and it feels good to sleep in. Brit is off today too… she wanted to sleep in but she got up at 6:30 LOL she was like “awww man! I’m so used to getting up at this time and I wanted to sleep in til noon” I just had to laugh heheh… I am going to take her to my child drama class tonight. We’re making sock puppets for our lesson plans and I figured she could have some fun rather than staying home all day hehehe…

Brit and I went out walking this morning… BBBRRRRRrrrr it’s cold! I’ve dubbed her a new name, her name is Brat or Brattny. I think it suits her well and she agrees hehehe. We engraved her bowling ball with the name “Brat” on it as well. I had to give her a new nickname… she says “Baby Bear” just doesn’t suit her anymore because she’s not a baby. *sniffles*

I’ve got a staff lunch that I’m attending on Monday. Called soup and chili day hehehe I don’t think I can get into trouble… I think… I’m brining one of my favorite Tuscan soups in which I think will be a hit. I’ll just have to do extra walking to walk off all the soup hehehehe….

At the in-laws celebrating a holiday in their faith with them.......good food!

I am busy preparing for my workshop tomorrow and Saturday...once that is over......it is only a final on Dec 13th to worry about. I have enjoyed school alot but I am really looking forward to really cleaning my house.

April, I feel bad you have to switch back to the meds since the other stuff is working well. Is there anyway you can get the vitamins on the internet cheaper ? The applesauce contraption sounds like what I have seen, a lady from church has one and says there's no compairson to the store kind. Raisins & cinnamon sound good in it

Babycakes, glad your all doing good. Your drama class sounds like alot of fun and something I would like. Have a wonderful time.

Liz what do you do in your workshop, is it like a presentation that you present?

KO you have a very pretty name, did your parents say why they named you that? I am named after my mom's best friend (well back in 19?? they were best friends until she moved) LOL !!!!

She wanted to name me Siobhan but she had to name me fast b/c my dad wanted to name me somethign ugly
Kieran was the Sibling of Rory some ppl she knew and my sis' name is Rory so I'm Kieran
but I like it it's a mans name but with my middle name Bridget it makes me Little dark-haired strong one (Bridget means strength)

Evening Ladies!

Liz – you are a hard worker too! I know how you feel… but in the end it will pay off! Are you graduating dec 13? Or is that when your session is over?

Leenie – classes like my drama class really make it fun to go to class. I’m also taking a “art in the classroom” course. That one is fun as well. We are making quilts… in a strange way. It’s something based off or Faith Ringgold. She does story quilts. So what we are doing is painting a memory on a 8x8 inch square canvas and then we are going to paste it down on a 14x14 inch board and put a quilt border around it. It’s really nice, I’ll take a picture of it when I get it completed and show you.
