I need help, I don't know what videos I need to do.
Here's the scoop, I've lost 25 lbs since May. I started out doing Gilad's Bodie in Motion which is 30 min. then Sept. 25 I started Tae Bo, I did the Get Ripped Basic 1 and 2(alternating them) 6 days a week. I started my second week of alternating GR Basic 1 or 2 and GR Advanced 2 5 days a week. I have only lost 2 lbs since I started Tae Bo. When I started the Advanced video my left knee started hurting when I do it, so I think it's time to change what I'm doing. But, I don't know what I need to do. I don't like step aerobics and I think Tae Bo is to hard on my knees. I hope someone can help. Bottom line, I need suggestions on all type of workout videos(cardio, strength, and whatever else I need to get my entire body fit).
Everything that ya'll suggest is greatly appreciated.
Can you "walk" without knee pain? Have you tried any of the Walk Away the Pounds videos? Check www.walkawaythepounds.com. They're easy, can give you a good workout, fast-paced, and not hard on the knees. I have a problem with my right knee that flares up from time-to-time and I have to lay off running and go to the videos when it does.
Well, if it bores you, it probably still will. I don't really know what else to tell you to try. How about a dance video? I don't get bored with WATP, so I never bothered trying another until recently, and I got a dance video. I'm not "bored" with it, but I'm very uncoordinated. So it frustrates me, not being able to pick up on all the moves or do it as smoothly as they make it look. I have to kinda force myself to try it from time-to-time. Same with the firm. I'm just too uncoordinated for fast and complex moves. Never have had good balance. But a dance video is similar to walk aerobics and dancing might hold your interest. I've also heard of people here discuss belly dancing as a good exercise.
I am a big fan of the FIRM videos. I prefer the newer series(sorry to all you longtime FIRMbelievers out there). I have the Body Sculpting 1 and 2 programs. I'll do one day with a higher cardio concentration such as Calorie Killer, Maximum Cardio Burn, and then the next day more sculpting focused such as Body Sculpt, Complete aeorobics with weights, etc. I do this 6 days a week taking Saturdays off. Workout lasts no longer than 1 hour or so. I do an abs workout on the cardio days too. You can get either of these sets at Target. I have set a reward once I lose another 15 pounds I can get the BSS3!!
The only exercise equipment I have is 3 and 5 lb weights, I have looked into the Firm but I don't have a step adn really dont have extra money to but anything else except 8 lb weights which I plan on getting anyway. So I guess my question is do I absolutely have to get a step, sculpting stick or anything else the firm uses?
can't help with The Firm question, but Gilad (my hero!!) has quite a few videos, some are step but others are just strength-building and toning...I just love him
Have you checked out collagevideo.com? It is a fantastic collection of exercise videos, many many different ways to search for whatever you're looking for.
Gilad (and sensible eating) works for me!

Brittany, I got the Firm Calorie Killer tape awhile back, and I didn't bother with a step or stick either. I used my 8 pound weights from Wal*Mart instead of a stick, and found something around the house to use for the step. Toolbox, whatever works.
I just can't freaking figure out what all those steps are they're doing. So I fake it, or just do the parts I can pick up on. That's what frustrates me so much about it. I'm like, so the heck down so I can see what your danged feet are doing, okay!? LOL
