Default Why is this so hard

Tried my best today......
started off really well porridge oats with semi-skimmed milk, then beans on toast for lunch and chix stir fry for tea,but in between is dreadful
I seem to be having a major sugar craving at the moment and i am not even due on that is what is so hard.
I got married five months ago and do not want to go down the same path of many of my friends and start packing on the weight. The problem is that my husband works nights and although he is not due to start work till 11pm he sometimes goes in at 8pm so i am on my own and as soon as he goes it is like atrigger goes off in my head.I want so badly to get this weight off about 2 stone, but the rate i am going it will be on.WHY can I not get my head into gear this time Please your advice would be gratefully accepted
Catherine

Hi Catherine,
Well done on starting your plan today Starting is the hard part. As for your evening predicament, maybe when your hubby goes off to work, you could take some time to go out with friends or join a gym or something that keeps you busy so as your brain doesn't automatically go into I must EAT overload.
Don't feel like you're alone though, all of our brains tell us this and for the most part, I know I listen to it, and turn into a pig. Half the time when I do it, it's because I know nobody can see me, so that means the points I'm shoving down my gob, cannot possibly count! And the main reaon I do it is because I'm bored!
Try and make sure you drink plenty of water in between as well as during your healthy meals too, it's amazing how filling it can be, I had terible times trying to get my water intake up to six to eight LARGE glasses a day, but now I do it without thinking, and I know my body likes me better for being properly hydrated.
Hope I have helped in some small way. We're a very supportive lot in here, and we all have our ups and downs so don't feel alone.
Hope you come back and chat soon

Yeh..thats a hard one Catherine and we all struggle with it like Chris said you need to keep yourself busy I know when i'm at work food is'nt an issue but as soon as I get in I want to start grazing do you like knitting or sewing? even doing a jigsaw puzzle anything to keep your hands busy failing that the only other option is to allow yourself a treat at night and have done with it make some popcorn or sugar free jelly and enjoy a movie..it does'nt always have to spoil your diet you know
