Hey Girls,

How is everyone doing?

I got me a new pair of Addidas running shoes. Yeah! I still have't broken them in, but I have big plans to start getting up in the a.m. again, it seems that may be the only time I will get in my walk.

Is anyone else into this Desperate Housewives show? I've watched it, but mostly because there isnt much else on t.v. on Sundays.

Anyone watch "the Biggest Looser" last night????? Anyone else think that 10 and 20 lbs lost in one week is a little FISHY????

Amaya: That scene was very funny!

Tonic: I am with you, I have been missing all my favs during the week, I miss watching the bachelor and the apprentice.....ugh...but school is more impt. I figure I can always buy the DVDs and watch them later....I hope they eventually come out with Dvd for the Bachelor??? It's the only way I get to watch t.v., I am currently renting 6 Ft. Under to get caught back up....It's rough being a busy girl isn't it?

Brunette Chic: I missed it, but the ads for the show crack me up...something about somone cheated by eating a cupcake! I guess it's because I can totally relate. I think 10lbs is possible in one week...especially for someone that is extremely overweight and takes extreme measures....it isn't the most healthy thing to lose that much so fast...very hard on the heart.

HAPPY HUMP DAY ALL!!!!

hey guys

i am really into desperate housewives, i taped last week and i havent watched it yet, though. even bf Rob likes it but that may have something to do with the hot chicks.

i didn't watch the biggest loser last night, although i was interested to see what its all about. it seemed like they were seriously depriving those people. and i think that people who have a lot of weight to lose sometimes lose a lot in the first week. i watched one tree hill instead, lol, and of course the yankee game.

i am going to a wedding this weekend so i went and bought a dress yesterday, which i am going to return bc i don't like it anymore, haha. but anyway, its a size 9 which is nice i guess, single digits and all.

Hey gang -

I am really getting into Desperate Housewives, so funny!

I didn't watch the Biggest Loser last night, instead I watched He's a Lady, I don't usually watch reality tv but this was funny. I am disappointed that they are kicking people off Biggest Loser... I thought maybe they'd keep everyone through 'til the end and then the most successful person would win. Oh well.

Amaya, you're such an awesome cheerleader for the T-giving challenge, now I'm going to cheerlead for you! Don't worry about not getting to the gym for 2 weeks, just pick it back up and you'll do great!

Have a great day all!

I caught part of one episode of Desperate Housewives, and I loved it! I just usually don't watch much TV, especially on Sunday night, so I always forget to turn it on. Plus, with the baseball playoffs being on, I haven't watched much besides those. (Go Yankees!)

The last couple of weeks have been great in terms of eating and exercise. I haven't weighed in awhile, so hopefully I'll see a nice loss when I do. I think this weekend is going to be a challenge, though. DH and I are going camping, and he's already bought the supplies for s'mores!

Megan - one tree hill is my FAVORITE show! i am so psyched that it got picked up for the second season this year. i hope it becomes another 'dawsons creek' in terms of how long it runs. i've been a huge fan of chad michael murray back in his "Gilmore Girls"/"Dawsons Creek" days. what a hottie!

pinksandals - thank you so much for the support. i am def. going starting tomorrow. i have a schedule set up for myself

i also watched the 'biggest loser' yesterday, at least the first hour. (then watched OTH). i just couldn't help myself. i felt so bad for all them, especially when they did weigh in. i would have been mortified. not only to see those numbers so huge but just getting into a bathing suit...ugh...

Yeah - I watched the biggest loser - 5-12 lbs. in one week I could buy, but a guy who was probably 70 lbs. overweight lost something like 26 lbs. It was insanity. I don't know if I buy that. It can't be healthy, that's for sure!

Hi gals, can I join you? I love chatting, one of ma talents in fact

My name is Elisa, I turned 28 last month, I'm married and have a 5 y.o. daughter. I live in Switzerland (dh is Swiss).

I just read the first post on the thread - I also need to get some new workout shoes... I want a pair of good cross-trainers, since I mainly use them at the gym to do both cardio and weights. I am a slight overpronator. Any tips? We don't have a place to go get fittings done for the right pair of gym shoes, so I kind of have to go with what seems to work best...

Welcome Elisa!

I"m not very familiar with shoe fittings. I just go with a shoe made for what I plan to use them for, running/walking, and just try them on both feet and walk around the store. I know there are places where they can get shoes made exactly according to your arch, and the way your foot is, and what activity you are planning to use them for ...but it's here in Dallas. The guy at the store was very helpful and knowledgable enough for me. www.runnersworld.com a good website with lots of shoe information...mostly for running walking though, have reviews on shoes.

Thanks you! I'll check out that site. I did see some women's cross-training shoes by Nike and Reebok that looked very good, but haven't tried them on yet... if I get the house done today I might get to go shoe-shopping tomorrow!
