I am just a few days short of 11 months since my surgery. I am down 132 lbs, and I want you all to know that I used this board for my support group. I am continuing to drop weight, but it is much slower now. Labs looked good and I feel great!

It is strange say but my whole life has changed. I read labels, watch my diet and I excercise. All things I did not do 12 months ago! I don't get to visit often as I have been so busy! Work, the grandson and of course clothes shopping.
Today I bought new jeans-- a size 10! I used to wear a size 24-26. In 4 months I will celebrate my 30th wedding anniversay, and in 6 months I will be turning 50, and I am looking forward to it all.

Jiffy, Meg, Peachy, Pookie and the gang! Thanks for being here for me to read and talk to when I needed the support. I'm sure I will be lurky here quite often to keep myself on track!

ditzy - so glad you're doing so well!!! surgery is a life changing event, and we need to pay attention to what we're doing and how we're doing it,

which brings me to the NEXT topic!!!!!

this forum is not only for folks who are considering the surgery, but also for all of us who are LIVING with it. after all, this is for the rest of our lives, and we ALL need all the help we can get. trust me, darlin.. you know LOTS more than you think you do!!!!

Great post. It's so nice to hear from you and hear how great you're doing. It is an amazing process isn't it? It's like all the things we've dreamed of for years and years are finally really and truly happening. I'm not nearly as far along in the journey as you are, but am sure enjoying the changesas they happen.

OH I will be around. I have always enjoyed reading your post, and learning. I'm not shy about jumping in there either. Its TIME, seems like I do so much more, and stay so busy, I have less time in some areas.

I'll try to make it around here more often. I think its a great reality check as well for me. Where I've been, where I'm going and where am I right now. I refuse to slip back and regain this weight !

this was by pass surgery. Done in St Louis Mo I will never regreted doing it! I'm so much more healthy. No diabetes, no high blood pressure, no high cholesterol or trigyclerides!
