Default WEDNESDAY AUG 25TH- Daily Chatter

Hi everyone!

Just a quick note to get things started! I have started entering my food on fitday finally...need to educate myself a bit more about what I am eating.

Hope all is well. It is a hectic week but a good one! Fall is in the air here already.....I had to turn my furnace on two days ago......

Be well my friends!

Default Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Good Morning Ladies
Wow.Liz...furnace ? I am sitting in front of a fan in my air conditioned house! Just got in from walking.

The new WW Plan went well in all the meetings and I am glad the initial first "phase" is under my belt! I am reading a lot in the WW rooms seeing what people say about it..............it is interesting..........I dont post a lot cause I always seem to rub someone the wrong way in those rooms and dont mean to at all! Honestly! I posted something today but probably wont on a regular basis because they have their own "Leaders" in those rooms sometimes!

I better hush.....or I will taste a foot in my mouth.

Need to shower and get busy being a housewife today! That is a safe "hat" for me to wear! Something I know I am good at!

Made a pot of veggie soup with lean beef.............doubled the recipe this time cause it was so tasty before! Hope it is this time too!

OK, you guys have my approval to beat me for not being here. I have been dealing with alot and I just don't want to do anything. I need to remeber that you guys are here to help me not to judge me.

With that out of the way, I am working on trying to tell my boss that I am leaving. That has been a big thing with me these past few months. Plus, I only have 6 more days of school so I have that added stress too. I am not going to bore you guys with all of the crap that I have been dealing with but I just wanted to pop in and say hello.

I'll try to get back in here tomorrow.

Good afternoon gang!

Liz - furnace? I'm gonna have to move to Canada. The heat index is 105 right now. hope you get a minute to breathe! HUGS

Cin - I'm anxious to hear about the new WW stuff. I checked out some of the ww threads here yesterday and I just don't get it - some people??? I'm just reading along and see your posts and everything makes perfect sense to me, and then the next post gets kind of "catty" like something has been said wrong - and I just don't get it! ya know - sometimes I don't understand people - BUT I always understand YOU! and I hope you know that you never have to "hush" in here. We would never be rubbed the wrong way by something you are saying. Please just speak on up - I wanna hear what ya got to say! I wish I had some of your soup - it sure sounds good! HUGS

Leenie - I'm sorry you are so busy, but I can certainly relate! HUGS

I got up this morning and did 2 miles.

As yall know my grandmother passed away 2 weeks ago. My grandfather has been really run down, but we figured he was just worn out from tending to MawMaw.

Last week he saw a doctor and was told that he only has 25% usage of his heart and that there was just nothing they could do for him at this point. He is 88.

Monday he saw another doctor and found out that he has liver cancer and the family was told that he only has a few weeks to live. He had lung cancer earlier in the year and they removed part of his lung and felt they had gotten most of it, and PawPaw didn't want any chemo regardless. But apparently the lung cancer has spread to his liver. He has already turned yellow in the past 2 days, and went from being healthy as a horse, (well a run down one anyway), to needing to ride in an electric wheelchair to get to the car to go the doctor.

He is at home for whatever time he has left. Someone is staying with him around the clock. I am staying with him tomorrow evening and the day Sunday.

Please pray for my grandfather, Ed Queenan, and my mom and family. They are trying to deal with the shock of all of this as it was totally unexpected.

hugs,
cathy

Hi Gals
Back again....................Kemp...............so happy to see you! we have truly missed you. You can "talk" all you want and never bore us!

Cathy.........Oh ..I am so sorry to hear that. Both my Dad and step-Dad passed away very quickly once cancer went to their liver.................The timing of this doesnt surprise me..so many times older couple pass away close together.must be so hard on you and your family.especially your Mother!Tues. was the 4th year anniversary of my Dad passing away. He fought a brave fight with lung cancer!

Glad you "saw" what I was referring to.....................hmmmmm I dont always understand people but that is Life.I can accept that. Some people are so unhappy they are defensive all the time.(I have probably been like that before too depending on what was going on with me that day! )

I need to go..work in the TV room at church tonight so have to get Dinner ready.

See you all Thursday!

Oh good Lord, Cathy! Just how much can a family deal with?! I'm so sorry to hear about yur grandfather. I hope that his last days on earth will be comfortable.

Roger came home last night from a lengthy Elders meeting with our new Pastor with sad news. My friend, Gladys, only has a few days left on earth. The cancer is gone but her poor body is beaten from the strain and stress of fighting it. Life isn't fair!

He's at the doctor right now. He was up a tree with his chainsaw cutting some droopy branches and one fell on his shin. It's all scraped and bruised and now it's infected. Does anyone else have a DH that doesn't listen? I told him to clean it well with peroxide and to keep it clean and bandaged, BUT NO, what do I know! Grrrrrrr!

CIN, I've known you forever now and, although I haven't always agreed with you, I've never seen you post anything that needed a snarky response. Just keep saying whatever you want. Maybe some good manners will rub off on those people.
