Stick around and lean on us! We ain't perfect - a lot of us have bounced a lot - but we give good shoulder and don't judge!

Love to read more of you later, but I'd better clear the line for other UKFC's, we all like to welcome newbies!!

Hi Nicky. Welcome, pop in daily and see what us mad lot are all up to, we all have super days, we all have bad one's and everyone is fantastic, and I personally attribute everyone here to my weight loss so far, as they give support when needed, congrats when deserved and a good thump with a rolling pin when you need one too. And I've needed plenty lately. Thanks girls

Hi Nicky,
I am relatively new here myself. I am beginning to appreciate just how great this place is each time I check in. There is so much help and information to be found.
I will be 43 on August 11. I have tried and failed on many occasions to lose weight but this time it's different. One day I stepped on the scale and was scared by what I saw, the word OBESE springs to mind. Ideally I should lose 8 stone but I never like to look any further than the next goal. I have just lost my 1st stone and am ready to tackle the next.

What's your plan, are you counting calories, fat etc. ? I am currently counting fat but wonder if maybe it would be useful to change? I will have to ponder that one for a while.

Stay Focused

Hi Nicky!

I only found this site a few days ago and am finding it really useful so far and the people here seem really friendly and helpful!

I'm also 30 and have been overweight all of my adult life. The older I'm getting the heavier I'm getting. I have about 5 stones I would like to lose but like Tina1UK said I'm tackling each stone at a time.

I started last week and am currently on the Slimming World diet. I feel quite determind this time (which I haven't felt in years!).

My short-term goal at the moment is to try and lose 1 stone before I jet off to Las Vegas in 5 weeks.

Talking

Thanks tina1uk and heavensbug for you replys, i don't really have a plan as such, im just trying not to eat the wrong things and keep it healthy low fat diet, along with more exercising. I have a fitness instructor come round once a week to kick my butt in to shape as i need some one like that or i can talk my self out of exercising, i have all the reasons "oh it looks like rain can't go for a walk now" I think of my self as a professional dieter as i have been doing it for 20 years so here iam now with 6stone to lose, and its so much harder now then ever before, i guess thats cus im so sick of having this issue on my mind all the time.so the weight has got to go so i can get on with my life sorry for the rant some times i can really go off on tangents

Been to Vegas every year since 2001. We got married over there and have been returning every year for our wedding anniversary! You could say we're mad about the place!

So, you'll know where to go then I saw on tv recently that they've added a new bit to the top of the Stratosphere ride its like a crane and goes right over the edge you sit in a seat that propels you so that you're hanging over the side of the Strat looking down over Vegas was that there when you last went? it would scare the **** out of me but hubby would go on it no problem

We went in December but we didn't venture up to the Stratosphere I had heard about it ~ the Big Shot scares me!!!

I'd go on it of it meant losing weight though!
