Default Birthday, help!

Okay so, as I posted previously, I've got my Mum's 40th birthday party tomorrow. It's going to be a barbecue, with loads of salad, and bread, sweet things, fruit, etc. I can be good (I'm on Phase 1) and stick to it, I know I can. I'm going to eat dinner before I go to ensure I don't overeat or go mad. However, could you all please give me a few pointers on how to stay focused and what to eat/drink to keep me on track? Also, regarding phase 1, are Quorn sausages allowed? Thanks in advance x

You need to eat approved foods. Turkey or chicken breast are probably best if they are available. Do not eat ribs. Most of the beef is not very lean. If they have a tossed type salad that would be fine as long as you bring your dressing or check the label on any dressing they have. You could drink diet soda if they have it but I usually drink water. I tend to gain if I drink too much diet soda. I don't know anything about the sausages but I don't believe sausage is allowed at all. Maybe if it is soy.

Cobalt, Barb's suggestions are great. Stay away from regular sausages, but you can try veggie sausage, which is great, but not high in fat. If you made your own sausage out of very lean meat, it would also be okay.

Good luck! You might also try bringing some snacks for yourself to make resisting temptation easier...like 30 pistachios to crack and eat.
