Default What are your rewards?

I see in some of the gals signatures plans for rewards when meeting weight loss goals. Just curious about others. What are your incentives to lose?

In my case, I just purged my closet of the truly fat clothes. I replaced them with fat clothes which hopefully can be replaced by nonfat clothes by fall.

I believe in small rewards. I found the most fabulous clearance shoe room today. Deep red soft leather loafers, retail for about $100 and I paid $17. It the sale room at an upscale department store. YIPPEE!! I think if I make my July goal, another trip is necessary.

And I have a $100 spa gift certificate that is planned for my 180 mark reward. A hot stone massage...

So what are your plans?

Rewards,,,for me that is very difficult to comprehend.

I tend to be a very focused individual, that, when I make a decision - like the decision to lose weight - nothing can sway me from the outcome. However, the decision to actually do it is the part that is more difficult.

While on the program, DH buys me flowers for every 10 pounds that I lose. I really do appreciate that he takes the time to do something special, but the truth is that I would lose the weight, regardless, because I have made the decision and am determined to do it well. I tend to be a very intrinsic individual and gain satisfaction from a job well done.

Now this isn't necessarily a good thing. For example, I supervise several people at work. In doing that, I have to keep reminding myself to tell these people that they are doing a good job and to reward them in special ways for the things that they do. This is not a natural thing for me, because I don't understand why people don't already know they are doing a good job, but I am getting better at it.

For rewards on SBD...hey the better health, better stamina, and, oh yeah, the sexier body are enough.

I haven't got mini rewards prearranged but there is nothing better than 'having' to go shopping because your clothes are falling off and buying a size smaller. I bought my first pair of jeans in ages a couple of months ago and I have loved watching them go from still reasonbly fitted to quite loose.

I also feel rewarded by being able to do a lot more physically active stuff with the kids. The day before yesterday I went out with two friends and all our kids and ran for the train, got a ferry, walked about the waterfront and climbed a huge hill, explored tunnels and the kids climbed trees and slid down the hill on cardboard. To me that is a reward in itself!

I have had such a bad week this week, food wise ( mother in hospital and eating was stress related and matter of conveniance) . That I have told myself that if Go back two phase one and stixk with it for a week to restart myself and really follow TSB lifestyle I will treat myself to a day spa the day before I return to work the last day of August ( I teach).
