Hi guys!!

I hope everyone has had a great 4th. We had a pretty good one. We went to PA yesterday (to our timeshare) and hung out at the lake. Alex loved the water and the sand. He was going around taking everyone else's sand toys. I guess his weren't good enough . He even played in the pool with DH. He was running around in the water and didn't even mind when he would go under a little. We tried again today but he was tired and didn't want to get off of us. The sad thing is that we have to wait two weeks to do it again!! DH has drill next weekend.

We got him a musical instrument set today. It's totally cool. There are finger cymbals and he was playing them like regular cymbals. It was so cute. I would clap for him and he would just giggle like crazy. Then he would clang them and clap like mad.

Hello to everyone!!

We had a good 4th too, although there was way too much food out and about. No boating because the lake was choppy. One of my goals this summer is to learn to wakeboard. I used to water-ski in high school, but didn't for years (no boat) and then when I did try in '98 at 202 lbs I was too chubby to get up. I am about the same weight this year and need to increase my arm strength, although packing about a 25 lb toddler all the time should help with that. Anyway - we have the boat and a couple of good boards and it is something I want to do.

We spent most of the weekend in the pool. Wil (DS) is a heck of a swimmer for 21 months, he can't keep on the surface, so he sort of dolphins his way about 6-8 feet horizontally and 1 foot under until we pull him to the surface for a breath. He sometimes even rolls over on his back and puts his chin up to get his own breath.

My other big job this summer is to get ready for a 1.73 mile open water race (I don't really race, I just try to finish in not too embarrassing of a time). I haven't swam many laps since I had Anna last month and haven't spent any lake time because it is just too darn cold.

Eating wise, I have pretty much had no control the last 3 days and am the same weight I was last week. Yesterday I was looking through my mom's drawers for goggles and found she has been hiding food again. She did that the whole time I was growing up. Cakes, cookies, mostly chocolate. It made me kind of depressed. I have never actually hidden food, but I definitely will eat more when alone than when my DH or someone else is around. I think I am going to talk my mom (and dad) into dieting with me this time around and maybe we can both shed some lbs. We eat dinner at their house 2-4 times per week, so it defiantly is a group effort.

Karen: How old is Alex? Sounds like he is a cutie!

I still haven't made it to the exercise part of the day, but I did have a good nap with the two kiddo's and I made a yummy dinner by stir frying stuff from my garden. I am having my DH rototil in a few minutes so I can week tomorrow, that should be good for some exercise. Eating has been way closer to control, although I am still turning to cereal and milk 3-4 times a day for a snack. At least I am eating Kashi which hasabout 10 g of both fiber and protein and very little sugar.

We are getting ready for vacation, cleaning the car, weeding the garden, arranging who we are visiting in Seattle before heading to San Juans. Lots and lots of stuff to do.

have a good evening everyone!

Hi guys,

Wow, we are slow this week. Alex hates to see me start typing. If I'm just reading, he's fine. He's been laying in the floor watching The Wiggles for the past 10 min. Now that I'm trying to post he's up and crying at my chair.

Sigh. This part of being a mom I don't like!!

I hope everyone is having a super great week!!

Hey, I'm here, honestly, just feeling lazy, and not like typing! Peter's been sick all week, has an ear infection, eye infection and cold. Started with daycare calling me Tuesday afternoon because his eyes were goopy. DH took him to the Drs. Wed. AM and stayed home with him Wed/Thurs. He's on Omnicef for the ears, Quixin drops for his eyes and I was giving him the Zyrtec at night for the congestion, but that's cleared. I had no idea his ears were infected. His eyes are all clear now, and he's feeling much better. We went in the pool today too...hope that's OK with the ear infection.

My job has kind of changed...again. Since my boss gave her notice and her last day is Wednesday, they decided that Cust. Svc. really belongs as part of Operations...which it really does, because it's all part of inventory and manufacturing. They know how much I hate CS, and I told them I wanted to be busy and do more. I did NOT mean more CS related stuff, I meant more different stuff. They promised to throw me a spreadsheet every now and then to keep me happy. They want me to get more involved with inventory and all. Not sure how I feel about it all. My new boss is a guy, and he seems pretty cool. I know him, but not well. The whole gang of them over there seem pretty cool though, in a sarcastic kind of way...I should fit in. I am not happy that they're making me change my cube. I had a choice of 2, and it was either a cube the same size as I have, but in a main walkway where I'd feel like I was in a fishbowl, or a more private cube, but much smaller. Being the paranoid, privacy loving person I am, I took the smaller cube. Was supposed to move Friday/Monday, but IT informed me there's no phone line in there, so it might not be til Tuesday. Such organization...that's OK, I can enjoy my cube and view of the outside world for another day or so.

That's about it with me. Nothing exciting. Hope everyone's OK and having a good weekend.
