Question

I am having a hard time. Here is what I ate:

All of this made in bulk at a big church breakfast:

2 pancakes (from a mix)
1/2 peice of toast (with butter already put on by the cook)
1/4 (approx) scrambled eggs
1/2 cup juice (apple)
1 breakfast sausage (not patti but long and skinny)

Any thoughts? I am really bad for trying to figure out points.

I really appreiciate your help.

(hugs)

I guess 11 pts:

Pancakes - 4 (2 pts apiece*)
Toast - 1 (More if it was heavy with butter/margarine)
Scrambled Eggs - 2
Juice - 1
Sausage - 3

Do you have a WW Food Companion? All of the things you have listed are in the book. You very wisely kept track of your quantities, so that makes it pretty easy to look up.

*I count the pancakes I make as being 3 pts apiece. The food companion says a 4" pancake is 2 pts, but mine are always larger. You'll have to be the judge of it based on the size you were served.

Thank you VERY much!!!!!

I am going out to get the food companion....I think I obviously need it!

I figured about 12 points...so I wasn't too far off.

I appreciate your help.

Hi,
I am thinking of starting WW, where can I find
the companion guide?
Do I have to join to buy one?
I am hoping to find some of these books at the
library.
Thanks!
Blessings....Sandra in Wisconsin

I don't think you can find weight watcher's center materials at the library - you my be able to find someone auctioning them off on ebay or you may be able to find weight watcher's cookbooks at the library. Some of the centers allow people off the street (non-members) to come in and buy materials - there's one near us that allows that. Also, check out the weight watcher's web site - depending on where you live, you may be able to order the "at home" program - it includes the food companions.

Another place to look for WW materials is at used bookstores and garage sales.

Hi,
Thanks for the help.
That is what I have found out looking on the net, is that they sell the books at the meetings or in the at home kitc. I had thought of looking at rummage sales and goodwill stores when I get a chance.
I got enough info on the internet and point values of foods printed out that I made myself a booklet to carry around with me.
I started the WW on Thursday and it was easy, I didn't feel deprived at all, like other diets. On this way of eating you can have all foods, just in moderation and make sure you stay in your point range. i did notice I get more food if I do choose the healthier snacks instead of junk food.
