Default Ph1, Day 5 Questions?

Phase 1, Day 5...I peeked at the scale...5.5 lbs. down!!! My last low cal, low fat diet I only lost 1.5 the first week. Amazing!

Some questions:

*This morning, I had to force myself to eat breakfast. I just wasn't hungry at all. It reminded me of the way I felt on phen-fen years ago. But I was feeling drunk and almost nauseaus. I ate a spinach omelet and I feel better now. Is it normal to feel like that at times?

*The book states to eat til I'm satisfied. I'm having a problem with nuts and cheese. Do I limit the higher fat foods like that to a certain serving size? Can I eat 2 ricotta cremes a day?

*I have really been too weak to exercise. I know that's normal in Ph 1. When can I expect to get my energy back? I'm active...this is a hard part!

*What kind of fudgsicles are legal? I bought the popcicle brand and was shocked to look last night and see 9 grams of carbs!

That is a great loss! Congratulations!

The only time I feel bad is if I go too long without eating. It sounds like your blood sugar may have been too low especially since eating made you feel better.

I know there is a specific limit on nuts. I've only been eating peanuts and I know the limit is 20 peanuts a day. I think 30 pistachios. I don't have my books here at work with me but you can try the list of foods for Phase 1 and see if it says there. I try to limit the cheese but it isn't something I count like I do the nuts.

You will probably start getting the energy back either next week or in Phase 2. I didn't try exercising until I started Phase 2 and I had lots of energy then.

I'll have to check the brand of fudgesicles but I know mine are sweetened with Splenda only.

I think Barb has covered it all. Most folks limit themselves to one ricotta per day.
on the 5.5 pounds in five days!
