Default I'm a Newbie..

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here to those boards.. i started the SBD last monday i got 1 more week on phase-1 and then next monday i be on phase-2.. i weighed myself on the day i started the SBD and i was 157 pounds and i want to be 133 pounds or less but i am aiming for 133 pounds first..I haven't weighed myself yet i'm waiting till the 2weeks phase-1 is up then i will weigh myself.. I'm not so happy about my weight and i never seem to stay on a diet for long.. coz i always seem to slip i would have foods wot i shouldn't be eating.. so far on this diet i have done way, and haven't touched any foods wot i can't have on this diet.. i love my vegetables, i'm almost a vegetarian i hate meat, but i can eat fish...

I'm 24 years old married with 2 kids..I'm a stay at home mum.. my hubby is on this diet to he don't really need to lose weight but he said he wants to lose a few then tone up.. Its hard coz we have to cook some of the foods what we can't have on this diet for our kid's, and they don't sometimes eat it all, or there be left overs and i find my self going to reach out for some but i do stop myself and not eat any and hubby throws it in the bin..

Well i think thats about it about me really.. i do hope i get to know all of you here.. and make some friends along the way..Take care for now and hope to get to know u all soon..

Hi Shining!!!

Welcome to the beach!! I too am a stay at home mom you can feel free to join us on the stay at home moms thread in the support groups forum. I totally understand about having to cook different meals, My 2 year old gets her own thing for dinner and then my hubby does Atkins so he gets something else, and I get my sbd food! It can get hard but its a small price to pay for being healthy!

Good Luck
Michelle

Welcome to the Beach Shining

My DH is finding himself eating SBD too, but he doesn't even realize it . I just picked up the SBD cookbook & he was interested in some of the items that they had in it .

Good luck!

Welcome, ShiningStar! Feel your pain about the kids eating something else! My DH started SBD with me, but he is now so skinny his ribs are sticking out. He is doing a major Phase 3 and even ate a piece of focaccia bread in front of me yesterday...with butter! (can you see me drooling?) I hope your kids become interested in what you are eating and want to eat more of what you are! Can you get them on whole wheat bread and such to help a bit? It'll be better for them too!

Hope you have a lovely weight when you do your weigh in to encourage you! Good self-control staying away from the scale! It's all I can do to limit myself to one weigh in a day...can't imagine waiting two weeks! Good for you!

Welcome to the Beach shining star. How old are you kids. If they are still young you can sway them over to healthy eating pretty easy. My girls are 10 and 13 and one is very fussy and the other is not. But they eat the SB way with the exception of pasta and rice they eat the white only because they don't like the whole wheat or they think they don't like it. Anyway the best of luck.

Little Chick, you could start adding a tiny bit of brown rice to the girls white. Such a little amount that they won't notice, but will start to develop a taste for it.
