I bought some fat free cheddar cheese for my taco bake and UUuughGGHHhh! It was awful! I really love cheese, but if this is all I can have, I'd rather do without.
Are there any fat free or low fat cheeses out there that taste remotely normal? I was also going to make Spaghetti Squash and Veggies Mozzarella, but won't now unless anyone knows of a good mozzeralla as well.
I have a FANTASTIC light, sharp cheddar in my fridge right now but I can't think of the name. I'll have to get back to you tomorrow.
I have also tried, and really enjoyed, Cabot's Light Cheddars. They are white cheddars and come in 50% and 75% light. You can go to their website at www.cabotcheese.com and find which stores near you carry it.
