Thumbs up I know I have a eating disorder, I am not sure what its clasification would be

I have known for a long time that I am overwieght, people always tell me to eat less to lose weight. If I did that I would be dead. Eating three meals a day makes me feel like I am eating all day. I am afraid that when i eat more meals, only eat one thing one time a day usually, that I will gain more wieght and won't be able to stop eating. I recently went to see a friend who had lost over 150 pounds and felt terribly lucky, I am overwieght but I don't have the massive hanging skin yet, and only have 50 or 60 pounds to loose. I have said so many times that I am going to loose wieght and haven't been able to do it. I finally realize that one way won't work for me. I have to mix and match. Eating three meals a day and taking vitamins, doing a self talk affirmations I got from a book called " what to say when you talk to yourself". In other words take what had work to some degree in other trys. I know I need to talk and I don't care for OA cause it confuses me. I thought by coming in here I could work through my problems, fears and just general depression.

Hi Tiger and a to you...

This post won't be very long because I must go to work very soon... But I just wanted to welcome you to 3FC... This is the best forum around!

Just keep posting and talking and venting your feelings... One diet does not fit all... It's a "lifestyle" ... you have to change every aspect of your life that is not helping with your weight loss... A saying that we like to say around here is: "What works for Mary may not work for Jane".... So find the right plan for you but just start by eating no junk, drinking water, eating more fruits and veggies, this will lead you in the right direction...

Have you read the Dr. Phil Book? It's very good for the head stuff that bothers almost all overweight people...

Take care, and come back often...
