Default More questions for ya :)

I just got back from shopping for tomorrow's SB start. I planned on making the Quiche cups tomorrow but I couldn't find foil baking cups. Are these necessary? Why can't I just use a sprayed muffin pan? Would disposable muffin pans made completely out foil be better, even if they are bigger (6 cups instead of 12). Also, I found sugar free, fat free hard candy, but it says on the package that it contains alcohol sugar and about 10 carbs. The package says that the carbs and alcohol sugar cancel each other out. Is that true? Should I not be having those? I'm so afraid I'm going to screw this diet up and not following the directions properly. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Lisa

Hi lisa!!

My take on the sugar alcohol is that you shouldnt cancel them out I think a carb is a carb is a carb....the only thing I deduct from total carb count is fiber. There are a lot of people who say that sugar alcohols need to be counted, and I've also heard a lot of people say that they sugar alcohols cause stalls, or spikes in their blood sugar. But thats just my opinion and things that I've heard

Lisa, I don't think any of us use the foil cups. Yes, just spray your muffin tins.

Yes, I used the paper muffin cups and that is kind of a disaster. it is really hard to get the stuff out of them cause they get soggy and rip. I think you'd be better off with just right into the pan, as long as you spray the pan good first.

Yeah, we're starving as it is. We don't want to be leaving half the quiche stuck to the muffin cup.

I must be married to the only guy in the universe who follows directions. DH made a SPECIAL TRIP to a new supermarket JUST to get foil baking cups. He bakes his own spinach quiche cups and takes tham to work every day. He's just so darned cute about this -- especially in his baggy bottom pants
