ARGH...commercials for food are so terrible!!! I am a housewife (by choice) and besides my usual cleaning and errands etc, the TV is usually on, even if just in the background when I'm online, and I am SICK of all the food commercials...makes my stomach growl....like the one that was just on for Duncan Hines (sp?) new double layer cake you can make at home!! mmmmmmmm....

luckily I am a vegetarian (for 8 years now) so the fast food ones with meat, chicken etc don't bother me, but there are tons more all the time that make me want to just binge binge binge!!

I am holding strong though, this is the 4th day of my new eating change (can't say diet, this is for GOOD!) and I am fighting temptation from all angles!!

Maybe I should just turn off the TV but that is another one of my vices ( I need the background noise) and I just needed to rant!!

Or the mute button? I too watch the tube while online, but when those damn commercials come on I usually hit the mute button. Ya know what I noticed about late night TV? The commercials volume seems to get like 3x LOUDER than the regular TV show!! Weird huh...

I too was keeping that tv on for "company"..DH is gone all week and only here on weekends...but I did what Star P suggested...I play music all day and a couple, few times an hour when a real footstompin' song comes on ...I start dancing...I mean DANCING...hard ,get down ,get dirty, dance your *** off kind o' dancin'....

The dog looks at me kinda funny...and then I grab him and make him dance with me....
I think he enjoys it, cause it set him off and then we play for awhile.
