Thumbs up

Jeezo crow!! While I'm backtracking to the two threads I missed over the weekend, a third one hits it's #30 mark!! You guys have been really busy this weekend!

Tomorrow should prove to be an interesting day, I'm moving into the portch of the house. We recently had it insulated and carpeted..which means for the first time in my life, I get a BRAND NEW ROOM..and it's HUGE..I have no idea what to do with all the space! So I've been looking at bargain stores like WalMart and Big Lots. I bought an adorable desk lamp that was made in the 1930's..it has one of those regency couples on the front (you know, people who are dressed like they came right off of the court of King Charles..with the big wigs and stuff..) So I guess I'm going for a Victorial parlour type of theme..that wasn't my intent but it's turning out that way!! I found the most gorgeous pattern called "Tangier" made by Croscill.

Food this weekend has been great. I haven't gone over my points at all. I BELIEVE (can't be too sure) that when I slipped on one of my usual shirts today, that it felt slightly baggier (I always hate to say anything in case I'm speaking too soon..but i definitely wasn't looking for any difference, i just slipped it on and was like 'hey, this feels a bit different....')

I picked out a bunch of stuff from the newest Roman's catalogue (have you guys checked it out?? They have some great clothes...unlike some catalogs for plus-sized women, they seem to sell MORE than stupid mumus and tent dresses). I also bought a pattern and 3 yards of fabric so I could try my hand at making some flared pant pattern.

Ok enough boring domestic goddess stuff. Onward to replies. I'll do as many as I can remember:

Terri - I know you posted this days ago, but yes I did see ER..and I do recall thinking abotu my dieting when she was talking about never following through with anything. I think this is actually a quite common problem among EVERYONE. If following through were easy, half of marriages wouldnt end in divorce, nor 95% of diets end up failing.

Kat - If we're only going to spend a day in AC, i'm not sure it would be worth it for me to go..unless I can con some friends into coming with me. It's a six hour drive down there, and 12 hours of driving is waaay too much. If i went i'd have to stay overnight somewhere. are the rates cheap down there?? i doubt it..

Lisa /Julie- thanks for the encouragement..you are right it IS good to cry. i just simply despise doing it in front of other people, i feel it's a sign of weakness (which is bullcrap I know but that's how I think).

Michelle - aughhhh!! I can definitely say I don't miss taking mid-terms LOL. Though right about now, if i were still in college i'd be studying for finals. yes, right this moment. in college when finals week approached, we all walked around in a haze in our pajamas, downing coffee by the quart.

Thin - {{{HUGS BACK}}}I know despite my consistent steps backward, I am making a lifelong change and I'm gradually accepting it with each passing day. I know at the very least, that I am not slipping backward, and that mans a LOT. As usual, thank you for your stories. Wow...I never actually watched that show but..hmmm..it's a small world, eh?

Well it's getting late and Owen wanted me to call him this evening, so i best better be going.

Sorry I have been missing the last few days, I had serious computer problems and am just getting back on line....

I just got through reading the past few threads...WOW have you all been busy!

I haven't been feeling well for awhile so if you don't hear from me for a few days it just means I am probably catching up on my sleep etc....

I had one comment before I sign off...I can't remember who was potty training their son....but have you tried " sink the cherrios or fruit loops?" It helps the "aim" and it seemed to make it less threatening to use the big potty for my grandson ....We all had to laugh at how enthusiastic he became at using the toilet!

I am sorry for not commenting on other things...I have taken my meds and am so tired...

One thing I am happy about is a renewed commitment to staying on program ..Please send good vibes my way so I can "stick with it!! "

Morning all. Looks like little activity from the time I last posted, heh heh. I couldn't sleep last night, so I spent like two hours making this new icon. All in all not bad, but the glitter part was tricky, and you really can't tell that it's glittery..it just looks like my name is bouncing around.

Good Morning Gals!
I hope everyone's day is off to a good start! I just returned for a nice relaxing acupuncture session.

For those of you following my ongoing saga of trying to have a baby through the miracle of modern medicine...here is my update.....We are waiting until July to try again. We had the option of trying again at the end of May, but decided to take a break. My doc works on specific start dates so there was no in between choice. Our 10th wedding anniversary is on June 4th and my B-day is on June 10th and we just didn't want to be going throught the treatments during that time. It has the potential to be way too emotional and disappointing (although we hope not this time). So, we are taking a physical and emotional break. We are both very happy with this decision and in the meantime I am going to continue acupunture treatements and get back to more exercise and better eating. And, since we don't need to stay close to home for Dr. appts we've decided a vaction is in order....we are heading to VEGAS BABY! We are still nailing down the exact dates and where we will stay, but we are looking at the first or second week of June and will be including a side trip to Los Angeles. We plan on having a vow renewal ceremony in a Vegas Chapel...Maybe by ELVIS?

I've been trying to get back into my good routine of some type of workout each day. Last night I took a nice long walk with one of the dogs. Not sure yet what I'm doing tonight, but it will be something!

Yesterday I felt like a big bloated balloon. I don't think I've ever felt that yucky. It was due to my period and may have been worse because of the hormone drug I had to take to bring it on. I was so mad yesterday when I got on the scale. Then this morning I was down 3+ pounds from yesterday! Wow, that's a lot of bloat!!! Feeling much, much better today!

No time for replies now, I'll try to stop back later. In the meantime I need to get some work done.

Catch ya later taters!

Barb

Hi Ladies!

Nothing really exciting happening. Its very warm here today. We've gone from needing heat over the weekend to almost need the A/C. I am NOT turning it on yet. But its supposed to be almost 90 by Friday. What happened to Spring and it being 75?

Barb - That probably is a good decision about waiting until July. I know you want it to happen sooner than later but you also don't want it to be such a strain that DH and you are totally miserable either. The Vegas trip sounds like fun. Yes! Go for Elvis. What a blast. You are awesome BTW.

2Cute - Whatcha doing? How is your sister?

Syn - Twittering away? Hope you feel better soon.

Lucky - DH and I are talking about the timing of a trip to MOA. Since August is not a good time, we might wait until October. He isn't supposed to take any time off once school starts because their theory is that is what summer is for. But not everyone can travel in the summer. There should be some time in October when he has a long weekend that we can do. I thought about July but its my plan to need all new clothes for winter and I'm not sure I can achieve that by July.

Meliss - Looks like you're back in the groove and doing well. Just hang in there and no more tears!

American Idol night! George is due to go. LaToya was just awesome. Fantasia was good but there is something about her voice that is weird. Wish I could sing a tenth as good as they do.

Terri - You called it. Bye Bye George. I thought it was going to be Jasmine.

I'm going to crawl in bed and watch the Bachelor. Still have cramps and DH isn't home from work yet.

Sweet Dreams!

Hi everyone!!
Well, today was weigh in day for me -- i only weigh once a month, so i was really excited --
and i think it was worth the wait --
i lost 10 more lbs last month -- yeay!!!
the people i work with are so supportive -- after i went to my doctor's office to weigh, i had to call the main office and tell everyone the news and of course the people at the branch office i was working at today were standing there waiting for me to come back and give them the news --
i am doing pretty well with the oxycise -- getting a little more into it each day --

hope everyone is having a good week --

I have fallen behind in my reading due to yard work BUT now I have to really get into "lose weight mode".

One of my dearest friends emailed me this:

Quote:
We went there for dinner to celebrate, and then, with the dessert menu, the server brought me a gift box. It contained a glass slipper, with a proposal of marriage!
So now I have a wedding to go to!!!!! They don't know when yet. Isn't that romantic???? Another friend of mine reunited with an old friend, he flew her to Japan for dinner, (he is rich) asked her to marry him and they just bought a $600,000.00 house in England. Ya would think some of this would start to rub off on me!!!

Terri: October is good - but there might me snow!!! Try for early in the month!!!!

Hey everyone

Just letting you all know I am alive and happy! We've been having freaky computer problems, so it has been hard to get online and then impossible to post. I'm going to keep this really short just in case the problems return. Usually there is less than a 5 minute window. Even though our virus software is kept as up to date as possible, I think something has managed to sneak into the system.

Wanted to tell you all how happy I was with my monthly WI and measurements this last month. I was down a total of 6 lbs. and -1/2 an inch. Now, the inch loss doesn't sound like much, but that figures in 2 inches gained on my calves. I can zoom up and down stairs now, and have been taking advantage of this fact, so of course that measurement was going to go up this time. The cool thing was that I lost two inches off my hips and waist! Those measurements move sooooo slowly for me. I was having a huge personal party over them moving down.

DH just got home from work and I'm getting stressed over the chances of the puter freaking out again before I get this posted. Better get off now rather than run the risk, know what I mean?

Take care!

Andria
