Default What about Fat/Starch Blockers????

It's me again - thanks to everyone who posted to my depressed and desparate thread - will take time to thank you individually when I get another moment. I do want to pose the question if anyone has had experience with Xenical and over the counter fat blockers. I am wondering if that might jump start me and is it safe. My doctor suggested it but I resisted because the rx is so expensive and not covered by my insurance. But it would have been less than what I have paid in the MWLoss program and supplements over the last year.

I've tried nearly every pill I could get my hands on, including Xenical.

IMO, no pill is going to work more than very short term. It's just not worth it. It messes with your body and does nothing to establish healthy eating habits. For long-term success, the only answer I know is finding a healthy eating plan that you can stick with for life and a healthy lifestyle to go with it.

There just aren't any easy answers.

Default How did u do it?????

Thank you for the reply - I know you are telling me the truth - we all know what the truth is - I am just so frustrated - I really work hard at this. No, I take that back - It is no longer hard because I have been working at it so long, eating right and exercising is now a part of my life.

I know I can't rely on any pills for the long haul or as a substitute for healthy living but I wonder if the blocker would give me a jump start through my 6 month long plateau even if it is mentally a placebo. I would be interested to know your story - your loss is an inspiration. Feel free to pm me if you prefer.
