Cool Need a little reassurance

I guess I just need a little reassurance tonight. I am so afraid that I am going to get on the scale on Saturday and it won't have moved! I am afraid that I am not doing this right since it has been a lot easier then I thought.

I am going on Day 5 (in the morning ) and I have barely had any side effects even though this is a complete turnaround of my lifestyle! I used to eat fast food at least 3 times a week and chocolate and candy at least 5 nights! Plus soda every day with NO excersize what so ever except my thumb changing the channel!

Now I make my carb count on Induction no problem, workout 5-6 days a week and usually make over my 64oz water goal. The only side effects I have had are being tired. I used to constantly be fatigued but when I say tired on Atkins, I really mean just tired. I barely had any cravings and the little ones I did have just came from either seeing something or smelling it and they were easy to control. Even the horrible headaches I used to get if ANYTHING changed in my diet never really happened after starting Atkins.

I am not really hungry, just eat a little more at meal times and eat 3 times a day instead of constantly grabbing junk food. I haven't even been hardly irritable and I started Atkins the same day I got TOM!

Like I said, I am just totally afraid that I will weigh-in and the scale won't have moved! I want to jump on it every morning but am making myself wait until Sat like I am supposed to.

Any thoughts on this? I just keep thinking it should be so much harder so something must be wrong.

Thanks for listening! I know it was a long post.

You want reassurance? Here goes. This is the easiest WOE you'll ever find that you can lose weight on. And of course it's easy because you're really not depriving yourself of food. So if you're not having side effects, don't sweat it. Are you feeling better? If so, that's a plus. Are your clothes feeling looser? There ya go. I've found it's not hard to do this. I find the only ones that have a hard time with this are the ones that have only like 5 pounds to lose (I'm talking my 2 sisters here). It sounds like you're on the right track and keep up the good work!!!

You've been doing everything right, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you weigh in. I am the same way though, I keep thinking that I will have gained weight, cause for so long, I attributed being hungry all the time with losing weight - and now with not being hungry, I keep thinking something is wrong.

You are going to do just fine. You have been doing everything right and it will happen. I only lost 5 pounds on induction and didn't give up and neither should you whatever the numbers are.

Randi,
You are doing great and i think you will be pleasantly surprised when you get on the scale!! Feel your clothes i bet they feel looser already. I didn't have any side effects really when starting, the first 3 days of induction were different but after that it was smooth sailing so don't worry about that, everyone is different. I bet your body is just happy not to have all those carbs slowing it down!!

My advice Randi, don't go by the scale. Go by how your clothes are fitting! I have only gotten on a scale once, and it showed that I had gained weight, but my clothes are falling off of me. The scale lies!

Well I am a Nanny for 6mo triplets so I wear old maternity shirts and pj jammies to work. I am trying to go by my underwear but no change yet.

I will just trust in everything and see what happens on Saturday, then I will weigh in and find a pair of shorts or something (fresh outta the dryer) and see how they fit.
