Default Ok, a little about me...

Whew! I finally have some time to type!
I am 27 yrs old, I have a beautiful little boy name Eli that will be 2 on
Earth Day (April 22), and a great man named Joe, and about 100 extra pounds! eek!
I've pretty much always had to watch my weight, but finally lost it all a couple of years ago... I was FINALLY happy with my body and bought a whole new wardrobe (so much fun!) and then... found out I was pregnant. So I had a great, healthy pregnancy, only gained 30 lbs, and then gained, like 110 lbs. after my son was born.
So I've recently had a epiphany: I have learned alot lately about the crap I've been putting in my body all these years and made a change. I know my enthusiasm can't last, so I need some Girls!!!
Nice to meet everyone, I'll be a regular...

Talking National Body Challenge?

Has anyone heard about the National Body Challenge? Apparently 300,000 people participated for 12 weeks, and Discovery Health Channel followed 6 people on camera. each was paired with a trainer-and they lost a LOT of weight and made some big life changes. I think these people had to compete with each other which made it more exciting. I think by watching the show you'll learn how to lose weight and make healthier lifestyle changes. Anyone else know about some good TV shows that are about reality dieting?

Thanks!!

Default I would LOVE to have a trainer!

I'm convinced that is why famous people lose weight so quickly after childbirth- they have expensive personal trainers to dominate them into losing weight!
But... on another celebrity-related note, I have recently started trying Yoga. It is AMAZING! (I don't know about you guys, but I LOVE to stretch first thing in the morning, it is almost better than sex...almost) I've been reading alot about it, too. I always wondered how it was so beneficial to so many parts of your body, but it makes sense: stretching, itself, gets your blood flowing, moving into those positions "massages" your organs, and of course the pleasure factor is great for the mind. Add meditation and you're one grounded chick! Try it! I really want to join a class, but for now, I'm studying my book and doing Yoga first thing in the morning in the living room floor, while my 2 year old runs all around me thinking I am playing with him.
later girls!
