Default Tuesday!!

Good morning, girls!

Angi, how is little Elijah? I'm sorry he's worse. I hope his meds and YOURS kick in soon, sweetie. Take good care of yourself.

Kat, I hope the meeting with your friend goes well. Hugs and prayers for a stressful situation.

Jennelle, you called the nutritionalist!! Good for you, hon! I hope you hear back soon.
My trainer is writing up some meal plans for me. There's a nutritionalist at the gym, but I think it's about $130 for a couple of hour sessions!

Tracy, how do these people get so self-centered?! And people who leave their children alone... aaaaaaaaargh!! What the heck are they THINKING!?
How are things going with little Matthew? Your children are BEAUTIFUL!!!

Aspen, I'm so glad you've joined us on the daily. I don't know about finding a sponser... Chris or Jennelle or... should be able to help you with that.
You could also start a new thread here everyday just for yourself. Post your foods, your moods, exercise, etc.
Hang in there, sweetie. You're not a lost cause. Have faith... the time will come for you when you can do this!

Chris, darling, how the heck are you? Are you alright? Stressed? Need a hug?

Guess where I'm going? Yes, the gym. My golly. This trainer thing was such a good idea. I should have done this years ago! No matter... I'm doing it now, and I am going to be a freakin' BABE!

Have a wonderful day, girls! Love and hugs to all... (Christy... miss you, sweetie)

morning guys!

went to the bigger OA meeting last night, it was good and i loved listening to the shares. i didn't find a full-on sponsor, but i got someone i can call my food into. that will do for now. there are just NO available sponsors at my meetings. last night, they asked for any avaliable sponsors to introduce themselves, and NO ONE said anything. sigh. i guess santa rosa is not in recovery!!

today i will eat my planned foods, do a workout, and feel good about myself.

Default Ugh.

Just got in from a follow up at Matthew's plastic surgeon - he's going to need another surgery. Ugh. His skull has re-fused together. We're waiting to hear when. I was pretty sure this would happen - his progress has slowed in the past few weeks (before, I could see changes every day), but I still hate for him to have to go through this again.

Anyway. Angi, I'm hoping and praying Elijah is doing better on the stronger antibiotics!! They always start with the weakest stuff. I understand why, but it's so frustrating.

Ellis - you go, girl. I've been consistent with my workouts for two years now, and even though I am NOT a babe (need to work on the COE), I feel so much better. And it's cool to feel a part of the active crowd. I always envied them, in their coolmax wicking clothing and with their sporty bags. I feel much more comfortable in my body,

I hope our OA chapter has some available sponsors! The meeting I'm going to only has 14 people.

{{{{{Elijah}}}}} {{{{{Matthew}}}}} for moms

Good morning all! Our new grandbaby came yesterday at 12:30 p.m. She is, of course, beautiful, weighed in at 6 lbs. 10 oz., 19 inches, has some dark hair and gorgeous almond shaped eyes.

I am feeling like crap (I have fibromyalgia) today but fortunately no work so can stay home do a few things and relax a little. I am getting ready to work the 12 steps on The Recovery Group's threads. This is a small town and I am not sure about joining OA for a f2f meeting yet, not sure I would feel comfortable spilling it all. That may change and I will see, but for now I have a sponsor and the steps begin April 1st.

Hello to everyone else. It has been kind of quiet on here the last few days. Hope you are all doing good.

Hello. My crappy Tuesday started last night at 10pm when the toilet went wrong. Water coming out from under. I guess the ring blew when I was plunging. So I'm taking a "vacation" day & running to Home Depot to buy a new one. The super crappers cost a lot of money. The plumber is coming this afternoon so that will be more $$$. My husband is not handy, so that was part of my frustration. But getting mad that he does not know how to fix things isn't going to change the fact that my toilet is broken...."accept the things I cannot change......". I just move ahead & do the things that need to be done...."the courage to change the things I can....." & get it fixed & go on with life.
Planning to go to meeting tonight. I will need the support.

Default Afternoon all...

Bunna: Congrats on the grandbaby!

Jaye: The serenity prayer is so great, don't you think!? It really puts life into perspective with so little words.

Tracy: I hope Matthew's surgery is a success.

Holly: That's great that you got a food sponsor. Maybe you should check out an online sponsor? At least for the mean time... PM me if you have questions.

Ellis: How was the gym?

Chris, Christy, Jennelle: Yoo hoo!

Angi: How's the family's health today?

Well, my meeting was fine. My "friend" is still pretty much acting cold although in a different way. What ever. Not sure what to do with it but I am at least not feeding into it.

Tonight I am eating out with friends. One is pregnant - my first graduate school friend having a baby. None of my college friends have had kids yet. But one high school friend has.

Have a good evening.

Conflict is a part of intimacy.

Being close to another person means we will inevitably clash. If we
relate to each other as the separate individuals we are, without
suppressing our honest feelings and reactions, conflicts are bound to
arise. The question is, how do we handle them?

It is through experiencing conflicts and working them out with those
we love that intimacy is deepened. The alternative is to refrain from
caring, avoiding conflict with people who are not particularly
important to us.

Intimacy opens us to hurt and anger. What divides us must be
acknowledged and negotiated if the relationship is to be a growing,
vital one. Using the Twelve Steps, we have tools for working through
conflicts. As we recover, we learn how to communicate effectively
with those we love instead of withdrawing into food abuse.

*

Is there a conflict I need to face today? I will remember that
intimacy is worth fighting for!
