Default 5 lb challenge encouragement

OK, there are around ten days to go. How is everyone doing?? It is not too late to get back on track if you wobbled over the weekend (I wobbled)! Just think - five pounds gone forever by April 1st!!!

Well, I'd love to go back to bed this morning but I'm heading to the Y to lift weights and play some raquetball. Even though I'm not really in the mood today, I am going to do it! Only 10 more days?!? We CAN do it and it'll be so worth the effort! (Any loss is positive!!!) I pledge to stay strictly OP for the next 10 days!

I am hoping I can make it!! It's sure motivating after my wobbly w/e too!!! I just realized that I will be out of town on April 1. I hope the hotel has a work-out room and maybe a scale!

I've got a big walk this morning to and from my psychi, then my second session with my trainer. And then 90 minutes of yoga tonight. If I don't lose 5 pounds today...

we can do this!!! just remember planning is key! i was watching a program on of all things food tv yesterday and they said people wo took the time to plan and follow through with healthy meals lost a significant (sp?) amount of weight over those who just tried dieting alone. this totally explians why i can be a perfect south beacher all week when i drag in my little lunch box to the office and then go to heck in a hand cart on the weekend when i am staring into the fridge at home.

anyway hang in there!!!!

Justjodi,
Thanks for the reminder of planning. I was just noticing that my fridge was pretty empty. In someways that is good, but I know it needs to be restocked with veggies and the all important s/f jello. The jello is the only way I can survive my sweet tooth. Good luck everyone, we can do it.

Good Afternoon ladies! I have had a horrible WOE go this week. We had people in town staying with us and had 2 little parties at our house and it was a carb and cookie fest for me! I am back up to 224 so there is no way I am losing 9 lbs in 10 days! But I am gonna do my darndest to get back to 220! I too will be out of town on April 1st since its my b-day and my 5 yr anniversary so we will be in Gatlinburg, TN.
OP for me for the next 10 days though! You can do it too guys!

Well I had a 4 pound loss for the week, but if the scale is right, I WAS at 5 pounds down on Friday and managed to gain a pound BACK over the weekend!! Now I don't know if it was the 3.5 miles walk and the 3 mile bike ride on Saturday, that MAYBE it is muscle, BUT I am pretty sure it was the MISSED meals on both days that broke the losing enchantment

Well I am back on track this week. I was so bloated and gave into my chocolate urges over the weekend but have been exercising twice a day since Sunday and the scales are 1kg (2.2 pound) lighter this morning so I am almost half way there. I have been using www.fitday.com to track my food consumption and exercise. I am burning about 2000 calories a day more than I am consuming which I am sure is not healthy but this SHOULD result in a loss of 2kg/4.4lb per week. In reality it doesn't quite work that way.

Down 2.5 Lbs. for me, but I'm trying to think of something inspired to do with the chicken tonight. Maybe if the temp goes up to 40, I'll grill outside. We in Upstate NY have been told that we have odd ideas about appropriate weather, but some of us need our Cornell chicken BBQ fix. Jo

Well the time is drawin near and I have not dropped a pond off my rear! But I am stayin in it and drikin more water and eatin more veggies. I do have an out of town w-end coming up that involves my favorite Italian Bistro so I know I will have one off program meal. But that will be the only one and it is lunch so I'll drink a ton of water to help flush it out! haha This will be my first major off p meal since startin SBD. I think that is pretty good for me. I'll have to walk around my mom's complex after I get done if I'm able to move!. Even if I don't make the 5lb's I'm just happy to still be this happy with my new woe. We can do it Chickies!
