Barb -
Whoops, I seriously have issues with misinterpreting things sometimes. It ALWAYS happens to me. You said you were waiting for THE nurse to call to schedule a procedure...and then I was like "ohh...she's waiting for a co-worker to give her a schedule..."....it gets worse...I then thought when you said DH had surgery...I thought that meant he was a surgeon!!! LOL
Ooops.

Default A quick, or not so quick howdy

Hi ladies,

Back on plan for two days yippee! Not back to morning walks yet, but that will come. I am doing rubber band twice a day.

Lucky - being from Oklahoma I thought we had some big winds on this plain!(not the kind at the end of thread 502) The wind chill must be awful. Glad you didn't get blown away.

Ingrid - I'm single myself and looking - if I find a rich rancher I will send him your way - I'm a city girl. (can a 47 year old woman be considered a city girl?)
Good luck, and please keep your eye out for a city slicker for me please. ( I do hope you like rich rachers, if not maybe Lucky likes them.)

Kat - I hope you are feeling better. I hope you have someone who will fluff pillows, tuck blankets, and bring in a cupa - something soothing. I wish e-mail could deliver them to you. Take care, and hope you are better soon.

Hi Mary - I am a frequent Lurker myself. I am getting over it and becoming quite chatty.

I did my Friday on Thursday. I have a new perm and cut. The family said I am muncho bueno mamasita.

Maybe it wasn't so quick a post - maybe I should be chattykathy instead of kantsing.

Hoping everyone has a good Friday....

Judy

Good evening all.
I have been out spending my honeys casino winnings.
I bought a new dining room set. They delivered it tonight. I 'overestimated' the size of my dining room. Oooppss. It is not an empty room anymore .... it is wall to wall furniture. LOL If anyone sits down... you can't get out. LOL Oh well... live and learn.

I got most of my kitchen clean. My paperwork is still piled on the table... but everything else is clean and shiney. I did not mop... but swept the floors and vacumned the rugs.

Was anyone else SHOCKED when that John kid won American Idol?
I could not believe it. The phone lines had to be messed up. LOL
I know I am an old lady... but ... I sure did not like him.

My food is a rollercoaster ride. Up... down ... UP ... down. I swear I don't know why I even try sometimes. Grrrr. BUT... I will keep trying... and I will WIN one of these days. I want to be 299.9 by April sooo bad... and I am not going to make it this way.
Hopefully I will get my act together by the wedding in May.
I think I need more visual stimulation to stay on plan. Maybe a two month calendar posted on the refrig with my check marks for drinking my water, eating my veggies, exercising. To be successful... I have to be COMMITTED !!!!!
I have lots of will power... right 'after' I eat. LOL

Thankful Thursday.... I always miss Sandy on Thankful Thursdays because she would always post no matter what then. Mary... it was sooooo good hearing from you.
Okay... I am out of here. I need to go either work on my paperwork.. or polish my new furniture. I get my grandbabies tomorrow ... and all night. I just got their last mess cleaned up today... lol ... now they can make a new one. LOL

What a difference a day (or two) makes! Intestinal disturbances are NOT fun! AND...as if to add insult to injury...I got TOM yesterday! Like I don't have enough going on down there! I know, I know...TMI!

Thank you for your kind words, Judy...and yes, I did have my sweet husband there to fluff pillows, tuck me in, and bring me tea. He's a good guy. I asked him to pick up a small bottle of Gatorade when he went to the store. The gross yellow kind...I only ever drink it if I'm sick and dehydrated. I specifically said, "JUST ONE BOTTLE," I won't finish it all. Well, in his world, if one is good, then EIGHT must be better! I have an eight pack of Gatorade sitting on my table right now. Because there's no room in the pantry. Because this is how he shops. Gotta keep him out of the stores. hmmm...except for the jewelry store!

Lucky, did you send some wind my way? I woke up this morning to the sound of wind howling and garbage cans blowing all over the place! Speaking of wind, I laughed out loud about your nephew!! I have three brothers, how they never learned that one is a miracle! Don't tell my son about that game, he'd love it! What is it about boys and farts?? My youngest brother, in his fraternity days, used his *** like a blowtorch and would "light them up" with a flick of his Bic! Ah...glory days! I'm sure he'd only be to happy to demonstrate. He's 41. They never grow up.

Miss Meliss...Do you eat any vegetables? You always say what you've been eating and I never see any mention of fruits and veggies. Try to fill in the gaps with lots of veggies, a handful of baby carrots, some celery sticks with lunch, radishes or pepper strips. Lettuce and tomato on your sandwich. An apple and some cheese for a snack. Make sure you have a protein at each meal too. Hang in there, kiddo!

ME TOO!! That's always when my next diet begins too! Having not eaten anything for two and a half days, I figure I have a 'clean slate' to start with...I'm going to try real hard not to put anything but good stuff in my still slightly queasy belly. Your fridge calendar sounds like a good idea! Why not?

Barb...Great news!!!! One hurdle over...bring on the rest! So, did you watch Survivor? Is it safe to discuss yet? I'm so spoiled watching it taped now, I don't have the patience to sit through it anymore without being able to fast forward through the commercials!

Blue, I've just got to say that you are one profound chick for someone your age! Lots of wisdom there. I love reading your posts!

BarbG...I've been meaning to check out the Oxycise website ever since you'd mentioned it, now that I feel better, I will. You're doing so well with it! Keep it up!

Thin...oh, ebay high priestess! Come back, fearless moderator! We miss you!

Mary...Hi! How's the library?

Terri...Miss you too! Are you ever coming back to us?

Duckie...Cute idea...the Survivor game! Nice motivation! I am hopelessly addicted to Survivor!

Audrey...So? Did you and dh figure out something to do with the kids gone?

Ingrid...I know quite a few people who met their "special someone" on-line...don't worry, he's out there!

Jen...Will the surgery be done before your dh comes home? Inquiring minds want to know! Congrats on hitting that 100# mark!!

Okay, I think that's everyone between this and the last thread...I can't go back further or I just KNOW I'll lose it all. So help me God, If I lose this mega post when I hit 'submit reply'...you will ALL hear my screams, wherever you may be!! If I missed you, it was unintentional..."HI" to anyone I may have missed!!

So, have a FUN FRIDAY, all... and a great weekend!

Kat - Feel free to talk away about Survivor. I half watched it when it came on so I know what happened. I am going to re-watch it just to see what I missed. I do know who got the boot!

Okay, here goes...STUPID! STUPID! STUPID! How stupid were they to dump Colby NOW? Wouldn't you think they need strength for their challenges? They obviously do! Not to mention that Jerry is such a drip...who has an extremely high opinion of herself and mistakenly thinks others do too! Shih An's own spitefulness will come back to bite her in the butt!

Okay, gotta run!

Default I'm Still Alive!!!!

Hi ladies,

Wanted to let you all know I'm still around and doing well. I have picked up a few pounds (15) in the past few months and am now in trying to get back on track and get those suckers OFF. My doc wants me to come in and weigh every four weeks now. I have to say he is really great. My blood sugars have all been normal and my blood pressure is staying normal. I try not to look at the big picture because if I think about the amount of weight I have to lose and the time frame it will take I get stressed. I am still working nights (4PM - 12:30AM Mon-Fri) at the lab. We no longer have internet access which is why I don't get in here much anymore. I certainly do miss everyone!

Hello to the newbies - my name is Connie and I am currently at 324; I am 44 and single but in a relationship; I was married once (15 years ago). I have lived in Tennessee all my life and I LOVE southern cooking which makes it hard to eat healthy at times.

I really do enjoy this new forum of ours - especially the picture page.

Nothing else new to tell about - I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

I just found a post on the "Buddy Up" group from this 400+ guy who wants to lose weight so he can start dating, because he thinks that overweight people SHOULDN'T DATE. Can you believe it???
