Bite your tongue! Regular Bacon!!!
Totally kidding. But, well, ummm, as you probably figured out by now by skimming your book and checking out the label on your bacon- the idea is to avoid foods high in saturated fats, and regular (delicious, scrumptious, addictive) bacon is extremely high in saturated fats

!
So, I wouldn't go on eating it. Maybe freeze the rest? Cook it off and feed it to the dog?
But as far as your diet, as one newbie to another, I say just put it behind you! Sit down tonight and read what you can of the book. Once you see the REASONS behind the eating plan, it will all make sense and you won't have this feeling of blindly memorizing lists or following the snippets of advice you'll get in a thread, wonderful as that advice is!
You are not doomed to a life without the pleasures of bacon! You can have turkey bacon and yes, that canadian bacon is really tasty, too. Much more filling and satisfying, IMHO.
Good luck!
