Default Newbie...

I think I made my first post on the day of the crash....hmmm...wonder if I did it!!!

Well, I had started a thread about WW and Soutbeach combined and after reading halfway through the book, I am a little excited about not having to measure and write down everything I put in my mouth. I might have to skip WW for awhile and see how I do on my own with just SB.

I will officially start Phase 1 on Monday..I can't start a diet mid week, just doesn't feel right. So, from what I have gathered, I can eat until I feel full???? Did I read that correctly? I don't want to over eat, but I don't want to feel hungry either to where I feel the need to go on an eating binge. Ya know what I mean??

I will finish the book in the next couple of days and write a meal plan and grocery list.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!

WELCOME again! I did see your post and vaguely remember replying.

Yes, there are several folks who combine WW and SBD but ti's a good idea to try SBD by itself for a while and see how it goes.
Depending on how you have been using your WW points, you may experience headaches or other symptoms as your body ditches carbs but hang in there, It only lasts 2-3 days and you may not have any problems at all.

Welcome, Chazmom!
Well, eat until you're no longer hungry. And remember... drink lots of water!

chazmom-was it you that asked me for the ww/sbd menus I made for myself? I thought it was but the crash has thrown me for a loop.

I haven't forgotten - I am getting them together for you and will post as soon as I can.

hmmm......that reminds me, I owe ellis a recipe too.

Yes that was me!!!

Thanks again!

One thing....I have always drank diet drinks for as long as I can remember..after the birth of my 2nd child, anything with an artificial sweetener in it tastes horrible...any hints for sweets? or drinks besides water that don't have that awful too sweet taste of an artificial sweetener?

HI!
I just started today. I am almost done with the book.
I did well on WW until I stopped and then had some major stress in my life and let it all go! I am really excited about SB as we don't have to count pts or journal. Too stressful right now! I also need to flush my body of carbs and sugar.
Don't be afraid to start a diet midweek. I actually found it helpful while at WW. That way you dont cave on the weekend and think you can start over on Monday. I started on a Wed this time.

Good luck!

I despise all diet drinks except for Diet Rite cola.Have you tried it yet? I was skeptical, but I really like it. It's made w/ Splenda and has no caffeine and no sugar and 0 calories. Try if you haven't already. - Jennie
