Default what are you going to try next??

we've all seen incredible transformations in ourselves and others since the surgery. one of my friends has her first boyfriend ever. another one took vacation time and volunteered for the Tribeca Film Festival so that she could meet DeNiro [not sure if she did, but she had a great time!]

someone else had a baby, another person got a great new job. and our own debkay has walked a 5K!!!!!!!

i'm not bedridden, and i'm hiking every day, very happy about it.

but my next 'challenge' is snowshoeing!!!! of all things!! i refuse to stay indoors this winter, and there's no way my knees will let me ski [and that's just way too dangerous, IMO.]. sooooo, i'm gonna try it!!!!

WHO'D HAVE THUNK IT?????

Today I wanted to walk and the weather was cool and wet. So off we went to the indoor mall. My daughter, grandson, and myself. I rented a wheelchair for insurance. We window shopped saw santa, and even Aurther, the child read a book to the kids. I wasn't sure if I was up to it. 5 days after surgery, We started with the wheelchair, holding our purses, coats, and the grand son. I'm glad I did, after walking I was tired an napped shortly on the way back home. But since I have felt more energic than I have in a long time. I need to set up a routine, for walking when it's just Hubby , Grandson and Me walking.
Excercise will be part of my new life.

I have a great attitude about life. I refuse not to enjoy it.
Not only a grandmother, but remember I raise him 24/7 ! !
My daughter was 24 when she had him, I was the young one with babies. (I was 20 when I had my first)
No pats on the back wanted for raising him, One must do what we must do in life. But no where does it say it say we cann't have fun or make it fun. I like to have fun and do things....

I just hope I can keep this look on life several months after surgery and I want a snickers or other foods that make me dump.

it's not the first snickers that'll kill you.. it's the ATTITUDE that some people develop. it's the: hmm let's see how i can outsmart the dumping mechanism, and then they do, and they keep pushing and pushing and pushing, and then they wonder why they've gained 50 pounds back or why they haven't lost as well as someone else..

I am still waiting for surgery, but I want to go on a cruise and do all the things they have on the commercials. I want to take my grand daughters to an amusement park and be able to walk around with them. I want to feel like I can take a trip across country and be able to take care of myself. do I think WLS will do all this for me; no, but it will be a start and I hope to have more energy and more get up and go.

JIFF...

That's exactly what happened to me, I outwitted my own stomach and look where it led me....I'm still sitting here waiting for it to melt off like it did after my surgery! That's why I keep saying....If I only knew then what I know now, I'd still be a size 10!!

It's heartbreaking to go thru what we all had to go thru with the surgery, only to gain it all back! I could cry every day for being such a dumb ***!
