Default Chit chat Week of Nov 8th

We made it home. I didn;'t leave my heart in Vegas, only my money. Anyway it was fun, and the convention was very profitable for our business.

Two years ago at this convention, Alvin met a salesperson from a company that we have been doing business with ever since. This person was assigned our account and he and ole Alvin have become pretty close (well as close as you can be if you are in Texas, he is in California, and you've only met once). After Alvin had his surgery, they talked about the experience quite a bit, and about this time last year he (the salesman) had WLS. We had plans to go out to eat with him one night this year, and when we went to meet him, not of us recognized him!!! He has lost about 190 pounds and not only is he so much thinnerk, he shaved his beard, had has his hair streaked, and looks about 20 years younger than we thought he was!!!

Coming home I told ole Alvin that I am going to call his doctor and get set up for surgery after the first of the year. So as much as I am looking forward to a chick meet in Dallas, you don't have to beat him up for me.

Now that I don't have him for an excuse, I have to get serious and make up my mind which surgery I want to have (band or RNK)and where and when, and yes I will be honest ...IF I really want to have it. It was so much easier just to talk about it and say "Alvin won't let me have it" Now I have to take responsibility on myself. I'll keep you all posted.

I got a copy if Obesity Help magazine in the mail yesterday and it was/is very interesting, but I still have a lot to read.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Barb...I gotta make this short and sweet....but consider going through the motions of getting the surgery. You can always say no, but at least you will have the paper work done. I went through all the motions thinking that I would not be appoved and not sweating (too much) the whole process. Lo and behold I did get approved...then I sweated buckets.

I went through with it...which for me was a brave thing. I am glad I did.
