Default Easier than I thought.

Yesterday was my first day on SBD. I have to say, that it was alot easier than I thought it was going to be. I didn't miss bread at all, and I am a major, major cereal eater. I will miss my cereals eventually, but I will add a very high fiber, low fat cereal back to my diet when I lose weight. I only hope that this is a plan that I can stick to. I think it might be. My husband and I drink decaf brewed iced tea and switched to Splenda a few months back. We really like this and we drink it all the time. Hopefully, it fits in well with this WOE. But, anyway, I'm on my way to losing the 75 to 90 pounds that I have to lose, can't believe it's that much, but it is, so. . . . I'm on my way!

It is a relatively easy plan to follow. I too thought I'd miss my cereals and especially breads but I didn't.. I have eaten a few slices of bread since being on phase 2 but haven't gone overboard and won't. Please make sure even in phase one to get enough fiber.. Sometimes the veggies do not give enough and you may have to take the metamucil or benefiber.. I can't do metamucil but many do and find it helps so much. Good luck to you.. We can do this.

Default me too!

I am surprised at what I crave now....nuts, apples, a salad (although I too am getting sick of them), fish, grilled veggies.....who craves healthy stuff????

I am having trouble getting enough fiber though - was taking it for a while and stopped. I think it's time to get back on it. That's my only down side!!

I feel better on this program than I ever remember feeling!

little grasshopper... what kind of fiber did you take? I am having a terrible time. I tried to go back on phase one and just couldn't do it because of this very reason. I can't take metamucil and so I bought benefiber and it gives me such horrible cramps.. I hate to keep buying things and not having them work.. Jenny

Try taking 2 or 3 tbsp unprocessed wheat bran flakes (NOT CEREAL) in 6 oz of V-8 juice or tomato juice. I do this every morning & it works wonders!

I was having a difficult time with this as well. A health professional who is a friend suggested GROUND flaxseed. I know this can be expensive, but I found 2 cups for 2.39 at my local grocery. I didn't have a way to grind it so my f-i-l ground it for me in a coffee bean grinder. He sprinkles it on food, the friend who suggested it stirs it well in a glass of water. I personally just ate it by the tablespoon full. It's not too bad. It helped me and now I don't even take it (still Phase 1ing) Good Luck! This is not a fun problem!

Be sure to keep the ground flax seed in the fridge because it can go rancid.
