Default New to SBDiet

Hi everyone, I am starting the South Beach Diet this morning. I just have one problem and wonder if any one can make any suggestions. I have an alcohol problem. I drink Mick Ultra every night at least 2 of them. I am trying very hard to work on this I was drinking more. I don't know if I can do this diet and stop drinking. Help.

Suziez, welcome!
Re: your problem... do you have a support group you can go to? I know they can be intimidating, but if you just break down and go it might be the best thing you ever did.
Good luck, hon. We're here for you.

Suziez, I have to second Ellis's recommendation. If you feel your drinking is a problem and you want to make a change, find a support group that can help. It sounds as if you have already made a positive change by drinking less, and that is super! If you don't think you can completely stop on your own then it's time to get some help, right?

Good luck, and let us know how you are doing!

Ellis and Franny are wise, although young, Suzie. You have to deal with the drinking before you start solving any weight problem, no matter what diet plan you choose. Please get some help and let us know how you are doing.

Suzie~~
These very wise ladies are right, but please don't let it stop you from coming here for support, too.

Many of us have our own addictions; FOOD being one of them.

And we all need to find out WHY we are detrimental to our bodies and our health. Why do I eat too much, why don't I exercise, why do I smoke, why do I drink.........???
You are not alone, come here often but also seek a support group that can address your issues on a one to one basis.

to you, for taking the first plunge in admitting your problem and taking those first steps to cut down on the alcohol and seek support. Good luck, girl
