Default Boot Camp Challenge Day 43-Menu Mania!

Morning, troops! Sarge is back to work, headache free at last! Thanks for all the good thoughts.

Group Activity for Week of 10/05-1914.5!

Yesterday we talked a bit about our specific problems when it comes to away from home. Here are a couple sites I found that have some pertinent info:

http://www.diet-i.com/weight_loss/eat-out.htm

This one is really good...make sure you check it out!

http://www.ivillage.com/diet/dietwat...564346,00.html

I think of all of the suggestions I found my favorite is to learn how to control the evironment to suit your needs! I think that lesson can be helpful when eating not only in restaurants but anytime you eat away from home. I have decided that when we cruise I am going to ask for anything I need/want that isn't on the menu. Since I still can't really chew the challenge is to find soft food that is also OP, but if I ask for help it may be easier!

2Dog, I sometimes think I am a closet eater, too. I rarely overdo it when I am out, maybe because I have an audience?

Sflake-your meatballs sound good! Meatloaf is soft enough for me to eat so I bet meatballs would be, too! What do you use for a binder? I usually use bread crumbs or crackers....

Sharon, I like your thoughts about making dining out a social event, not a food event. Makes me hope we sit at a big table full of fun people on our cruise!

Robin, WATP is Walk Away The Pounds by Leslie Sansone. I love her videos. It is basically marching in place, kicks, knee lifts, and side steps that are set to music. There are several different varieties of the tapes..For Abs, Express, etc. Each tape has a mile equivalent (1 mile, 2 mile, etc)

Leslie-The type of restaurant you pick certainly can make it hard to eat OP! Bar food it the best...er...the worst!

Lizzie! Hi there Private Lizzie!

Gotta run and go work out! Later all!

Pvt. Lizzie reporting. Did 30 min. at Curves this a.m. and expect to do an hour at line dancing tonight. Also did my house cleaning today, but I didn't keep track of minutes.

Sarge: Glad the headache is gone. They are no fun. I'm sure you will have lots of co-operation on your cruise. Where do you sail from? and what cruise line? We are going in January. There will be 50 people going from our retirement park. That crusie ship won't know what hit them: with all these wild retirees on board. You probably mentioned it before, but it slipped my mind.
We are traveling on Carnival this time. A first for us. We have really liked Celebrity and Royal Carribean. So have a wonderful time.

I only managed to walk for about 15 minutes. But I guess that's better than 0 minutes.

Default Hey There

I went out this afternoon and walked 3 miles. It takes me an hour. I live in a small town on the Gulf of Mexico. I was just getting on the beach when I say at least 6 porpoise playing /feeding out aways in the water. Don't have to go to sea world around here. Anyhow ,I am dragging now. It was really hot. They say we are supposed to get cool weather this week. We will see!I have been waiting. I have lived in Fl. all my life but I still don't like the heat..I don't mind it if I am sitting on the beach with a good book and a shade over me.
Have a good week...Joanne

Hey there, Joanne! I almost missed your hour of activity for Monday! I'll add it to the current tally...we need all the help we can get this week! Our goal is 2500 minutes for the entire group...I know we can do it!

Your walk sounds wonderful. I wish I had someplace beautiful to walk...I just do my videos or get on the treadmill in front of the TV. Not exciting, but it gets the job done!
