Feeling recharged this morning. The Red Hat Society tea party was fun and just the break I needed. I'll post a picture of us in our regalia when I get it resized.

Right now I'm just starting us up because Gail is due any minute!

Catch you later.

Ladies,
I hope you don't mind if I jump in here. I am once again trying to commit myself to this WOE. I have had success both on the scale, mentally and physically with SBD, I just keep eatting those sweets New day, new successes.

Ruth, Does your red hat society also wear purple dresses? If so my mom belongs to a group in SoCal. She loves it and is so happy when she finds a new purple dress (she probalby has 4 different ones now). The red hats are harder to find.

The construction workers should be here soon, so have a good day ladies.

Yup, Tahoemom, red hats and purple outfits and whatever outrageous accessories we can find! I'm hankering after a red feather boa at the moment and maybe a classier red hat. The one I have is a garden hat sprayed red and jazzed up!

Ruth-Glad to hear you had fun!! Sounds like my kind of club!! (I LOVE purple AND red!!!)

I am back on phase 1 as of this morning. I have been off track long enough that I think I need to detox again. Also got Dr. Phil's book....time to deal with the emotional stuff behind some of my eating. Not fun, but necessary to make this permanent.

Hope you all have wonderful smiley days!!!! :P

morning all...

congrats marci on the pound YEAH!!!

cleaned out a lot of stuff in the kitchen over the weekend. Threw out old boxes of stuff and then stocked up on the good stuff, stuff to cook the things that are OP. I made my favorite chicken recipe (just ch breasts that I marinate in olive oil, lemon and all my fav spices and cook slowly) for the week. I also made my eggplant dip with the last of my eggplants from the garden. I still have a 17" zucchini to do something with.

Poor puppy is scratching himself raw.....taking him for a shot this AM so we can both sleep tongiht and a oatmeal bath tomorrow....to many things in one day stresses him out, so I wanted him to get the shot first thing!!!

hope everyone has a wonderfully commited Monday doing whatever is importatnt to you today!!!

rb

ps....watch dr phil every weight loss show.....I sent an email to attend one of the shows here in LA and they already called me back!!!! I just can't do the one they called about....how fun!!!

Just had a great work-out at the gym. So far I've eaten everything OP. And I've had a good bit of water.

I am FREEZING! I was just baking some rolls for dinner... what I really need is a larger oven. I could pre-heat it, turn on the light, and then hop in with my book.

Happy Monday Beauties!

Ruth, your red hat society sounds like a blast! I love that poem, I gave a framed copy of that plus a bunch of red and purple stuff to my Mom when she turned 60 several years ago. I can't wait to see pictures!!

Den, I also got Dr. Phils book, have read the first chapter so far. He makes a lot of sense I think, he says a lot of things that are probably common sense for a lot of people, but it's good for me to see it in black and white, and it gets me thinking. I am so much an emotional eater, and I must learn to deal with that if I ever hope to become a thin person.

sflake, how is his Monday show with the dieters? I've been thinking about taping it also.

Rowan, I'm impressed with your cleaning and organizing! Good for you! Love the close up pic of your pup!!

Ellis, sounds like you're getting back on track!! Keep it up, I know you can do it!

Hi Marcie, MS24Gal, and Tahoemom!!

I'm down another 1.5 pounds (in two weeks, didn't weigh last week because of TOM), for a grand total of 21 pounds released so far! And this loss comes after a week of eating not-so-well, due to stress and TOM, so I was very pleased when I visited the metal monster this morning.

Hope everyone is having a nice Monday. It's gorgeous weather here today, supposed to get up to 70.....can't wait until I get off from work so I can take a walk outside!

Hi All: I had my date with the metal monster today and I am just staying the same. Frustration. My Dh has lost another #. But I just have to stick with it. I keep telling myself that since I don't have a lot to lose now, it is going to take longer.

Our chorus rehearsal started today. I had hoped for a few more people on the first day, but I know that many of our members haven't come back from the north. All these freezing temps will send them down, I'm sure.: But we have some fun music to do, and everyone seemed to like the program for the season. There is not a lot of changing when you do a Christmas program. I do have a gal who will help with accompaniments, but I play for the rehearsals and direct with my head or just talk loud.

Hope everyone is having a good OP day. Lizzie

Hello, everybody!

Ruth, I'm so glad to hear there's another Red Hatter amongst us! I am also a proud member of a group of about 12 women. We really have a blast together. I have my eye on a really pretty sequined beret in red. When I visit Dallas later this month, I'm shopping for another purple dress. It's such fun!!

Sounds like everyone is doing well on eating and exercise so far this month! I'm leaving for my hour walk in a few minutes.

Marcie, congrats on the missing pound!
Ellis and Sflake, you're doing great on the exercise!!

Have a great day everyone!
~Sharon

Hello all.
Ruth and Sharon I would love to start a chapter of the Red Hat Society here in Milford because all chapters in the area are closed to newcomers. Any suggestions??
Sflake and den, I too have been working with Dr Phil. Just finished reading about the first key so todays show really helped. I find that I have to put the book down frequently because a lot of what he says hits so close to home. Between him and South Beach my whole life is changing.
Congrats to all of you walkers. I'm joining a gym tomorrow. Wish me luck................Julie
