July 2025 - Daily Accountability/Lifestyle Change - Everyone Welcome!
Hi, Everyone! Welcome to the Check-In! Let's make it a great month!
I want to welcome everyone to the Daily Accountability Check-In. Our goal is to stay accountable and on track by posting our daily food and exercise choices. All food and exercise programs are welcome. Consistency is the key to reaching our weight loss goals.
Introduce yourself or jump right in and tell us what you have been doing.
Hi Everyone. I am shamefully starting at 207.0 today.
I did eat 2500 calories yesterday. I was in pain and self soothing myself. Day started off with tons of pelvic pain probably from ovarian cyst and ended in SEVERE lower back pain...
I ended the day eating spicy shrimp ramen with cut up smoked herring in it. So some might be water weight and TOM coming weight...
I could barely turn in bed last night...
So....I found an exercise that relieved my back pain a little.
Lay in bed flat. Bend legs...put feet together (like frog). Take deep breath contract abs...and raise pelvis...do 10x
Yesterday mom brought me over her old 8lb dumbells and I did reps with those plus 16lbs goblet squats...
In truth my back was hurting before that though...
I couldn't stand how much in pain i was just to walk so I did a core workout with the 8lb weights....my 14 y old saw me and decided to do some curls....he did 350 reps to fatigue...both sides...so strong...my mom was a body builder..
so I've been in gyms my whole life...
I saw how strong he is and got a barbell/dumbell set
I am down 1 pound from June. I was up 1.4 from May. Do I feel that I am maintaining. I had some struggles the last couple of months with my OA sponsor, old church stuff, etc. Hopefully everything will calm down down. If not, I can have a different perspective about it all. The more I focus on the problem the bigger the problem looks. If I keep my focus on the solution to all problems (God/Jesus) the solution is bigger, the problem is smaller
Jen That's great about your DS. I am so not a gym person, although I do go and get it done. I'm sorry about the pain you were going through. Hopefully it has resolved.

Proverbs 2:10-11, 20 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
Knowing what is right and doing what is right are completely different matters. Jessica knew she should lose weight, and she knew the way to do that was to cut back on what she was eating. The problem was that she didn't want to give up any of the foods she loved. She just wasn't committed enough. A friend of hers told her that she had all the knowledge she needed in her head, but none of it was in her heart. The reason she couldn't stick to her diet was that she didn't want to lose weight badly enough. When we find ourselves lacking the proper desire, we need to turn to the Lord, to ask His strength for doing what we know to be right.
Today's thought: Dieting is more than a matter of the mind. It's a matter of the heart!
Evening everyone.
My weight is up a 1.5 pounds for the month. Todays weight starts out at 201.5.
Like Diana, I've been struggling. Mine is with health issues mainly. Maybe I will learn to control those problems. My mindset is way off lately.
I did my exercise videos. It has been to hot for me to go to the gym
Back still hurting, but taking ibuprofen, doing those froggy pelvic lifts and did my workout early this morning. I still feel strong despite if I move the wrong way or sit the wrong way...
good job on everyone's June progress. I gained lol,, but i am also stronger as I graduated in my weight tolerance

I got to give my client a shower today and I told him already we have to be very careful
I didn't post last night because I was tired and we got home late. We had to do something out of town yesterday. I ate at a place that had mostly heavy food, even the healthiest options were not exactly healthy.
Exercise for yesterday: Outdoor walk

Luke 21:19 'In your patience possess ye your souls.'
Arlene asked the Lord for just a little more patience. She looked at the clock. She had eaten lunch just three hours before, and now her stomach was telling her to eat again. She knew she really couldn't need food again so soon. She concentrated all her attention on the project she was working on and repeated again and again that she wasn't hungry. Before she knew it, she was finishing the project, her hunger had died down, and it was almost five o'clock. Quickly, Arlene thanked God for helping her hang on awhile. It wasn't nearly as hard to get by with God giving her strength and support.
Today's thought: Decide to control your stomach instead of letting it control you!
