Good morning,
A brand new month and for me a brand new challenge. I have cut out the 2 slices of bacon on my lunch salad. That is a rule I plan to keep. My food is spot on, i know I have to stay diligent and planning meals a couple days in advance is criticaql to me staying on program. I am challenging me to hit the step goal i put into Fitbit, it is 5000 steps a day. Some days I hit it out of the park, and other days I only get in half, If i can't get outside and walk around the property due to weather, it messes me up. With my bad knees the Dr told me to stay off of pavement, and just walking a block, causes pain that lasts for days. Even if I wanted to get the replacements done I have to lose weight first, so I will keep plugging away at exercise. I just keep telling myself to trust and respect the process, weight loss is going to happen.
Nett- I checked my AARP Supplement and I do not have Silver Sneakers. It is funny because I thought I did and I know i saw it online, but it might have been when I was looking for a supplement plan. The senior center at 75, a a year is a bargain. By being on my food program I easily save that much 3 times over with not buying heat and eat junk.
I would hope some social interaction would be a benefit to me as well,, they have lots of programs and while I won't be joining the knitting club, they do have some things I would like to do.
LadyBinger-I am glad I cannot get food delivery here, that is one good thing about living out in the boonies. When I first moved here they didn't evem deliver the mail. I had to rent a PO box. I hope you are able to get your control back.

John 14:18 'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.'
Joan was such a great friend. Almost every day she would stop by to see how things were going. Joan had been there herself. She had battled her weight for years. It was comforting to have someone around who had made it. Joan looked great. Just knowing it could be done made the whole diet easier, somehow. When we try to lose weight all by ourselves, the struggle is doubly difficult. We all need support in tough times. We can count on God's comfort when we diet. He has promised that He will never leave us comfortless. Believe in that promise. When our diets seem most futile, God will come to us.
Today's thought: With the help of friends, I can lose more pounds!
Gone astray, I take and give magnesium to my kids too. For my youngest, he has to drink apple juice/water. But magnesium also helps calm his little but down lol.
Diana, awesome on steps
LadyB cool hairstyle
TamTam glad you found something that works. I can not stand flavored water except Bubbly.
Girl, you may see some gains with weights but it is worth it.
Yangtzer, are you still swimming
Ciecie, hope you get a nice lunch
So I woke up and forgot to weigh.
I added ALOT of molasses to my coffee today. I crave the stuff during TOM.
203.4 BUT muscle weight 129.4 lbs. Higher than it has been. Fat free body mass 136.4
My legs are feeling very muscular again (usually were until I slacked off)
Im working on modifying the door gym so it has a swing feature too..
After an awful binge day for August 1 (involving cookies and poke), I resolved to try ADF (Alternate Day Fasting) except instead of eating whatever I want on eating days I follow the eating plan I already have been trying to follow, which is probably less than 1400 calories. This might be a disaster from day one, but I really want to drop at least five pounds before this in person meeting I have to go to on the tenth... I'm not hungry yet. I'm also trying to quit smoking and am on the patch. It may be I am taking on more than I can handle. A bunch of years ago I did a six day fast. So that proves it's possible for me to fast for a single day... this new plan should save me at least 100 a week on food too. Fasting gets mixed reviews. Some people say it is just not healthy to do at all but I'm a proponent of fasting for both health and weight loss. Also instead of weighing myself every day I'm going to make Saturday mornings my weigh in day. I'll let everyone know how this goes. Really want to post a pic of my purple hair by the way but want to maintain as much anonymity as possible, haha. Plus I'm not sure how to add images on this site anyway.

Good afternoon,
Today when I got up , I felt different-maybe lighter, not sure but it felt good. Today marks day 30 on plan, and in some ways it is getting easier.
I had errands this morning, I went to the dump and for the first time in my life, I brought something home. People often leave items outside of the trash containers if they think it is too good to toss. I picked up a 3 foot by 3 foot piece of butcher block. it has a nice finish on it and a square frame on the back, looks like it was a table top of some kind. I am going to make it into an assembly table for my workshop. Need to hit Home Depot for 2x4's and caster wheels.
Good evening! Did 2 miles Leslie Sansone before I left for work this morning. Power walked and ran errands before I punched in. Power walked and ran errands before supper tonight. My fitness goals for today have been attained. 😁
