Welcome to HOLIDAY December 2022/January 2023 daily weigh-in/check-in thread! This is an open invitation to one and all to join our little holiday party, make some new friends and enjoy the support of some really fantastic folks.
Here you can:
~track your weight daily, weekly or however you'd like ... but do check in
~keep track of what you eat or didn't eat
~keep track of your water intake or lack of
~keep track of your exercise/other goals
~vent, rant, express yourself or just chit-chat

I thought I'd do something a little bit different this year and create a seasonal thread that included both December and January. Ideally this would also include November but here we are. I know that once fall really hits and the temps drop, my approach to eating changes with it. I love comfort foods and tend to eat more. Pile on the holidays and well, it seems like all my good habits and intentions drop off dramatically. Raise your hand if you can relate. But there is so much to celebrate during this time and the food offerings are so good! Totally get it. Knowing that we have major holidays during December and January I thought our thread could be a space to span the season and a way to check in how we're managing our health: sleep, exercise, way of eating, and mental health and wellness goals.
We've worked all year on improving our health and wellness. Some days are better than others and that's to be expected. Did you spend too much time on perceived failures and "could've, should've, would've" that you forgot how much progress you've made? That's in the past. Now it's time to put away the disappointments and missteps. Let this be a season of generosity; a time when we can show some personal kindness, appreciation and gratitude toward ourselves as well as to others.
Wishing everyone a lovely and peaceful holiday season, and may the splendor of December and the promise of a New Year remain with each of us long after the celebrations have ended.
