Default Suddenly, Summer!: June 2022 Daily Check-In & Accountability Thread

"When the sun is shining I can do anything; no mountain is too high, no trouble too difficult to overcome." Wilma Rudolph

Welcome
to the June 2022 daily weigh-in/check-in. Here you will find support, encouragement, and endless kindness. ALL our welcome to this thread.

It's hard to believe that in a few short weeks the start of summer will be here and with it the promise of endless possibilities as the amazing Wilma Rudolph eludes to in her quote. Are you one of those folks who look forward to the summer with the same anticipation that you do the arrival of a good friend you haven't seen in awhile? What does the new season have in store for you? Some have vacation/travel plans. Some are inspired by the summer fruits and vegetables to bust out their culinary skills and experiment with new recipes. Maybe you feel empowered to finally tackle some of those big projects you've been avoiding your way--by wearing your cutest summer clothes and best flip-flops. By the time June arrives we're spending our time a little bit differently. We slow down. We look forward to relaxing after work, spending time outdoors, and nothing beats the long days with extra daylight.

However you spend this month, let's all take some time to be good to ourselves. Spend more time doing the things that you enjoy, keep you healthy, and looking forward to each day. The folks on this thread work hard, support friends, have hobbies, care for loved ones, etc. Don't think for a moment you don't deserve time for yourself!

A joy-filled and sizzling June to us all!

KStrong: Good to hear from you! Walking has never done me wrong. It's my go-to exercise. When I have moments of beating myself up because I'm not doing something more "extreme" I remind myself that I can walk while many others can't or struggle. My perspective changes immediately. Four miles plus is excellent!
