Smile Drank My Diet Protein Shake After Sleeping In Late and...

So I slept in late this afternoon, on purpose.....

I work late eves on Fri and Sat nights.

Friday nights after work I find myself binging on salty and sweet snacks when I get home.

I realize this is my weakness.

Otherwise I never really binge.

My biggest problem is my slow metabolism.

I just re-started my new diet and am hoping to lose 20 Lbs as soon as my metabolism kicks in.

I bloat often as well.

This is a downer for me.

I have new jeans i wanna fit into but the belly area is too bloated.

This feels depressing to me.

I have 4 pairs of summer jeans and cute skirts too but the belly area is too darn bloated, or fatr, not sure which???

I have irregular periods so they skip for 3 months and that seems to increase my belly bloat until I am relieved by my periods every 4 months or so.

This is sooo frustrating.

My weight # never seems to stay down.

When I do finally drop 5 lbs in a months effort, the # goes right back up in a week or so.

I was an avid lap swimmer until Covid hit and I wasn't able to do so for like 2 years in a row.....

Then i finally returned to work.

Finding time and energy to fit swimming into my work schedule is difficult.

I manage to walk a few blocks for about 1 hr per eve when home after my day job.

I suppose I need to walk faster and farther until this Summer and I will plan to Take a Deep Plunge into the local pool and swim consistently ALL Summer Long.

I hope that my plans work out, because I am flustered and really do

not want to buy 4 new pairs of jeans when I kept the ones from my

last clothing size and the only tight area is the belly where it is sooo

difficult to zip em up and feel comfortable in them.

Does anyone relate to this ???

Hi @1Roseygainer! Thanks for sharing!
I'm trying to keep an eye on my sleeping habit. If I sleep not well, I feel terrible. Do you drink coffee? I love coffee but cannot drink it regularly because it affects my sleep.
I recently was searching about coffee. I was looking for info to understand why my body reacts to coffee in this way. I found that It is a stimulant that binds to adenosine, a biological sleep component, preventing it from accomplishing its function of making you tired. This causes your body clock to be delayed, which is why you may find yourself wide awake hours after you should have gone to bed. I also found an interesting article. It was How Many Calories Are In Coffee? Here is the link https://coffeehustle.org/how-many-ca...are-in-coffee/ .
It is said that all the calories in coffee are from added products such as sugar, milk, and so on.
In terms of snacks. Have you tried to replace them with fresh fruits? It helps me. I rat them a lot. Obviously, you could snack on fruits and consume them a lot. But it would be much better than eating chips or cookies.
