It is so quite here but I can definitely chat once in awhile. I am on week 3 and experiencing a slow down of weight loss but determined to not let that discourage me
Hi gals, I'm back after what seems may be 3 years off looking at other sites (also on the Facebook pages). I do miss y'all! I'll try to be on here a bit more too - accountability - but working a lot and caring for all the 'invalids' in my life, 2 parents with Lewy Body Dementia, and a MIL with cognitive issues as well (she's 95 tho) and a hubby that just went thru surgery and will be scheduled for the 2nd one needed (likely in June once he's recovered from this one.) No wonder I need a big glass of good wine now and then (eyerolz.) I just noticed my ticker shows the date as April?! even though I set it properly twice. Agghh, whatever!

Oh wow canadjineh, that is A LOT to handle - my parents were here this week for Spring Break, we didn't go anywhere but I think just having them here was a great "trip". They got their second shot 3 weeks ago. I had forgotten how much community was built here, I was on a Facebook group and it was just so unforgiving - I always felt like we were all so friendly. I'm going to start incorporating light exercise to my routine this week - leisure walks and light weights. It was something I did my first round on IP and I enjoy getting out by myself for outdoor walks - love my family but man, this is a lot of "togetherness"!
Anyone else struggling to get over this darn time change! I actually started to take an OTC sleep aid this week to knock me out early, but I'm still dragging in the AM a little - luckily I WFH so I can "snooze" a little extra after we get the kids off to school (I still "clock in" at ~8:30am, so it's not too crazy, but that's a 30-45min snooze). Honestly, I used to use wine to help me "relax" at night, so this OTC is a much better option - hoping I can sleep train myself (I have always had trouble going to sleep, I'm a natural night owl). These allergies here are knocking me out too - I have a treadmill so I'm going to start getting some walks in my bedroom - looking for a good Podcast to help me out.
Texas is opening up COVID vaccines to everyone on Friday, so me and hubs (47/45) are hoping to get back to something more normal soon. I can't believe it's almost April!
cactusblossom - good for staying 100%! I still find myself making cheats so I'm going to be more mindful, especially with my dinner choices (some of my dinner protein choices could have been better, and yes - I did have some wine last weekend). Thanks to everyone for chiming in and being so supportive.
Hi, popping back into the forum again. Busy with life, lots of work (paid) and work at home (unpaid, lol) that hubby isn't able to do thanks to surgical healing orders. I haven't been doing too well this past week and a half, I've had a fibromyalgia flareup due to stress and I've probably gained about 5 lbs over that time. I just swell up all over and all my innards bother me. Tomorrow is another day (start of my 'weekend') so I'll be watching things a bit more closely and eating more P1-ish. And getting lots of rest and reading in a sunny window.
@LizRR, did you get your shot yet?

oh my heart goes out to you! Hope all goes well.... it is so nice to see some ol' faces on here from way back when...omg 11 years later and the struggle is still on YIKES.... up and down.... but with the onset of Menopause wow, its so much harder to lose quickly... old body is much more resistant.
Not sure why I have such a hard time getting back here! Getting back on track on Monday 4/5/2021. Been struggling quite a bit the last few weeks and not sure what my problem is! Had a rough couple of years and working on pulling myself together finally. My husband died very suddenly in January 2017 and since that time I moved halfway across country, remarried and starting over. I am also not very young anymore (will be 60 in October), so need to take care of myself. I have a 19 yr old daughter with some anxiety issues and trying best I can to help her. But I have to concentrate on myself and get on track!! And I am not giving up!! Also starting a new work from home job on Monday.
Glad you all are here...
Wishing everyone a great day!!

omg its so good to be back on an IP support page! I tried posting on another support page, but its hard to relate to a specific plan like IP...….if you have never done it! Wishing you all a wonderful day!
ps: I saw my biggest loss so far after really dropping my sodium intake on my food log! what is your usual sodium per day so I can compare?
I got my Pfizer shot last week! Getting #2 in 2 weeks, my arm was a little sore that afternoon, but that was about it. I hope everyone had a good weekend - I always seem to "shore up" on Monday, need to keep that momentum through the weekend. I don't keep track of my sodium intake so can't really give an estimate.
