I came back as I didn't stick to it and keep the weight off. So, I'm starting again! Anyone else wanna see 199 or less by December 31st?! What are you doing to stay motivated? Are you exercising? Eating healthy? Let's share it all and keep each other motivated!
I am currently 249, eating healthier than I have been and doing 30 day shred 4 days a week! Some Zumba as well. You can update your weight any time you like whether that's weekly or monthly. let's watch one another get to ONEderland!

Hi ButterCup! I'd love to join you on this thread. I haven't been on 3FC in a while. I'm back for some accountability. I've unfortunately done nothing but gain weight over the last 6 months or so and sad to say I finally weighted myself again this Monday to see my highest weight ever. A lot of other things in my life are under control finally. I'm out of debt other than my mortgage, I'm finally able to start saving money. My career is on a great path and I feel stronger in it than ever. My kids are doing great and my toxic ex has completely bailed on us so the drama he usually brings to our lives has been absent since right before Christmas. I also have a hormonal issue under control now that not only made me moody as he!! but my periods pretty unbearable for a while. SO, all that was to say that I feel like I'm emotionally FINALLY in the right place to give focusing on my health and weight the attention I need and deserve.
My plan to start is mindful eating, counting my calories and incorporating intermittent fasting as it's been a great method for me in the past. I will start exercise in the near future but not sure on a specific plan yet. Don't know if I'll make it out of the 200's by the end of the year but I really hope to stay focused and give it my best try.

Hi Toomanydimples! Looks like we originally joined years ago around the same time! I'm glad things in your life are going well, same for me which makes it easier to focus on my health! I am exercising 4 days a week atm and using portion control and cutting SOME carbs because I need something I can actually stick with! I keep coming back here too, another thing I should stick with so maybe I can quit ballooning up every time I get close to goal! lol. Thanks for replying I look forward to seeing our results in December!
Carbs are big for me as well. I'm trying to reduce the amount of empty useless ones I eat and stick more to fruits, veggies and whole grains.
Hopefully we're both in better head space to make it happen this time. I'm going to try really hard to stick with it and the accountability of posting on here usually helps a lot.

I started keto two years ago (5/6/18) and lost 70 lbs. in the first 9-10 months and then maintained (backslid about 10 lbs. while maintaining a very lazy keto) while I finished grad school. I’m graduating and now have the time to focus on myself again and am getting back into the swing of things—including posting here for some much-needed accountability.
I’m back to strict keto (tracking macros and calories religiously), making sure I eat 90% of my intake as homecooked food, meeting a hydration goal of 4L (one with electrolyte supplementation), and walking with my pup for at least an hour 4-5 days per week. As I continue to stay on track I’d like to add in additional exercise goals, but for now I’ll be focusing on small, achievable steps. I used to do hot yoga 4-5 times per week, but with the pandemic the studio has obviously been closed. I can’t wait for them to reopen, cold yoga just isn’t the same The weights I record here will be my weekly average as I weigh-in daily.
Mini Goals For 2020: Hike a high peak
Try Bikram yoga 214.5- no longer obese
Onederland!!!
193.6- 75% to goal
191.1- 100 lbs. lost
I would like to join as well. I am back again and need the accountability. Have been focused on DH health and not my own. Starting over this month. Want to make it to Onederland before the end of summer.

Reason: Update weigh ins
Kayla that's awesome you had so much success with keto. I was never able to stick to it longer than a few months. All that fat and extra sodium made me constantly sick to my stomach. I kept trying to adjust and it just wasn't something my stomach could handle.
First week back on track I was hoping for a bit more of a water weight whoosh, but i was actually dropping sugar and being more mindful the week before last so might have already had some of that before I started tracking again.
Hope everyone has a lovely Mother's Day!!
Starting Weight 5/4/20 ~ 280.4 Current Weight 5/10/20 ~ 278 Total loss ~ 2.4
Kim, I haven't been on track the past couple months, so getting back into it now I'm remembering all the stomach and head fun of keto flu-- time to supplement those electrolytes! It's definitely not for everyone, and totally all about what works best for you and you're able to stick with! Way to go on your drop so far-- 2.4 lbs in a week is nothing to sneeze at!!
Millie- You can totally do that you're just 10 pounds away!!!! That's exciting!
RunningReadhead- I did the keto thing it sure does work, I could just NOT stick with it though! Good for you, You've still lost a lot of weight and good for you for going strict again if that is what works for you! I can barely do yoga much less HOT yoga! lol I do Jillian Michaels 30 day shred lol, that's enough for me!
Kim- Happy late mother's day to you as well! I have been hoping for a whoosh too, but have yet to see that. In the past I always lost inches before weight so hopefully that's all that's going on cause it starts to get me down! lol And 2 pounds is a huge loss! It feels small I know but have you seen that picture with fat and muscle side by side? It's a big deal good for you!
I haven't lost anything this week actually drank wine 4 nights in a row and weighed myself today which I told myself I'd only do on Fridays! Up 1 lb, but I'll wait and hope Friday I'm at the MOST maintaining and not putting weight on due to my boredom! lol Still doing Jillian Michaels, been on level one about 3 weeks now 4 days a week usually. Here in the next couple weeks I'll move to level 2. I do feel like I'm slimming down on my hips- I get the pointy butt thing at the top of my bottom when I gain weight and I THINK it's going down so that's a plus! lol. I'm not going to give up this time, hopefully my body changes and my weight does too. I've done it before and I can do it again!
ButterCup: I'd be lying if I said I was strict 100% keto the last couple of months! It's definitely a challenge at times, but that's life, right? Way to go on your own progress so far, you should be proud of yourself! I have a friend that really enjoys the Jillian Michaels workouts, it's great that you have a program to get moving that you enjoy! Are they similar to HIIT style workouts or are they something different? I'm not very familiar with them. I used to think the same thing about hot yoga vs regular yoga-- it's 70F and humid as all heck here right now and it's too uncomfortable, but for some reason I really enjoy the 90F yoga studio. I have hip and back issues so it really helps warm me up so I don't further injure myself. I can't wait to get back into it... someday
Kayla- Ugh, what really made me stop keto was no bread and almond flour is from Satan himself! That stuff was it for me! lol. Doing lazy or strict keto is good! I try to just do better the next day than I did before. Jillian Michaels is circuit training so HIIT is on the right track, however I've heard HIIT is much more difficult! I'd like to try that ONE day. Maybe after hitting 199 lol. Also, Just take a hot shower and sit in the bathroom and do yoga there? Kidding, yeah this virus sucks.
As for me. I started with exercise and diet has finally come. That's how I work. This week we started portion control and mindful eating. I had no idea how much I was eating before. To maintain my weight of about 250 I'd had to have been eating a whopping 2600 calories a day. I thought I was doing good cause I'd have one meal at dinner and nothing else during the day but turns out I was way over doing it. Already cut out cokes a few weeks ago, cutting out sugar this week and using Lakanto monk fruit instead which I LOVE just a tad expensive but worth it for sweet tea! Now, I eat one egg for lunch and a salad with a piece of cheese. At dinner I have a 4-5 ounce serving of meat and a salad. And for a snack I have celery and PB, or Pickles or a piece of fruit. I wont lie portion control is a bit hard for me because of how much I was eating, but it's nice to know I ate and don't need anymore and I can do this forever. I don't have to give up certain foods I just CHOOSE to during the week days. And also, I would drink 2 bottles of wine on Fri and Sat which is 2400 calories in 2 days! Almost a whole pound. So, I'm cutting down on that as well- but not cutting it out as I like to drink especially with covid and nothing to do. Hopefully, with my new baby steps the scale will budge!!! I'll be back on Friday to check in!
I hope everyone else is sticking to it, how are we all doing? Anyone else making new changes? I can't wait until December 31st! <3 to you all!

Amber: Those workouts sound great! I need to be better about consistently incorporating exercise in the next few weeks—I’ve been very lax and inconsistent with it lately. I think I’m going to try the NerdFitness Beginner Bodyweight Workout. I’ve done it before and if I remember correctly it kicked my booty! If that doesn’t work, your bathroom yoga is actually brilliant I have plans to convert an unfinished section of my basement into a hot yoga room with soothing walls and a space heater. It’s kind of lower on the list though. Way to go on your transition and budgeting your calories for what you want to eat—finding what works for you is more than half the battle in my book! I could not agree with you more on the bread and almond flour front! Somehow I feel like coconut flour is a better texture, but requires more finagling—it just doesn’t seem as dense for some reason. As for bread, I am a bread fiend and it’s definitely a trigger food for me so I don’t keep it in the house (even low carb or imitation bread, it definitely is a gateway food ). That being said, if I’m going out to eat (when the world isn’t on lockdown) for a special occasion or something I’ll eat a piece of bread if it’s really good, I just budget the rest of my carbs for the day.
My weekly weight average is down 2.5 lbs. putting me at loss of 3.7 lbs. so far for the month. I signed up for Diet Bet starting Monday. I’m nervous because I’ll have to lose 8.8 lbs. in four weeks, which is perfectly reasonable, but I’m not sure if it’s truly attainable for the rate at which I lose. I participating in two Diet Bets a couple years ago when I had just started keto and not winning, but I don’t remember if it messed with my head. this time around for some success and some money

Week 4: 219.4 (-0.6) Last week I had quite the whoosh so I'm not surprised that this week's loss slowed a little bit. I've been more active this week as well, which may have something to do with it. Ready to finish out the month going strong!
Hey Kayla- We've actually stopped 30 days and moved to more cardio based programs on youtube, we use dumbbells still. I just wasn't losing! But, I didn't change my diet until 2 weeks ago and that's when I started noticing the loss on the scale finally! I eat a piece of whole wheat bread with fake sugar and cinnamon when I'm craving! Couldn't had done that on keto though! I do love bread! lol.
After reading that I joined DietBet too, but never uploaded my weight nor did I actually start. But, it is a pretty cool idea! You can totally make that loss! I hope I do too, but weight loss can be slower and we are doing it for health right? And obvs, to lose weight too. But, anything is good. Trust me I know by how much I didn't lose in May. Hoping June will be much better!
