Default Sushi

I am craving sushi right now, it would mean that if I get my usual, it would account for about 40 carbs worth of white rice.

I am just finishing up phase 1, the rest of the meal is all fish and vegetables........

any input on how incredibly horrible it would be to have sushi?

I am a sushi fan! It sure is not readily available in this wee village but I do love sushi feast when I hit Vancouver or even Ottawa! The Loblaws superstore in Kingston sells it pre-made. It's good but not the same as sitting at a counter watching the little boats float by! I've never seen it made with brown rice but sure would love some right now!

Yeah!!!! I am so happy, was feeling kind of freakish for a few hours there!!!

I don't eat strange sushi's. I stick with the tuna's, salmon and the delicous cooked stuff....like scallop volcano rolls (which are rice, spicy stuff and cooked scallops over the top) I like the sush with soypaper and seaweed. They also do a yummy cooked lobster hand roll, rice, cucumber, avocado and topped with cooked lobster, this is great with soypaper.

Hummmm, maybe I will have some tonight......

I had sushi yesterday at a new place near me. I'll ask if they would make it with brown rice and then we'll have a party (actually in two weeks...i've just started on phase one today!!!)

I could also ask them to open another restaurant in Delta, just for you Ruthxxx!!! Once i'm fanta-sizing, why not!!?
I'm ready and I'm hungry!!!

I had my sushi and I am fine with it. I didn't eat that much, probably about 1/2 cup at the most of rice, everything else was OP. A friend of mine gave me these supplements called "Starch Away" It supposedly blocks startches from being absorbed. The place recommended not using it as a diet plan because it probably blocks absorbtion of good stuff too, but he said to use it for a once in a while indulge or on vacation it is good.

I don't know if it will work or not but I will let you all know. It is made from White Kidney Bean extract, so I can't imagine in small doses it is that harmful.
