You may want to consider the Mediterranean diet. It's a healthy and balanced diet, and it doesn't have any extreme restrictions, so it's easy to follow.
For exercise, I recommend doing both cardio and weightlifting.
For cardio, do whatever you like best (e.g. running, cycling, or swimming).
For weightlifting, focus on exercises that work a large muscle group, such as squat, bench press (or push up), pull up, overhead press, bent over row. If you don't have access to equipment, you can start with squats and push ups.
