Failed first time, here again
In July 2016 I said I was finally ready to lose weight.
Well, turns out I wasn't. I wasn't dedicated or motivated enough, and I did nothing to push forward from that "stage". Therefore, I gained weight.
I was somewhere between 100-110kg in July 2016.
Fast forward to July 2018, something in me just finally had enough of a lot of different things.
I ended my marriage, I hopped on the scales and weighed in at 117kg - the biggest I had ever been. I felt motivated for the first time in my life to actually put myself and my health first.
I work 6 days a week as a manager in a job that I never sit down at - not even for a second. I stopped eating crap foods, started being more aware of what I was putting into my body.
The nights my (ex) husband would have our daughter, I would walk and walk until I physically couldn't anymore. I joined a gym and started going 6 days a week. I pushed myself more than I probably ever should have, but I guess grief will do that to you.
After a few months of working on our relationship, my husband and I got back together and then found out we were expecting our second baby out of some miracle (fertility struggles) and we were stoked! But unfortunately at almost 3 months pregnant - we miscarried. This just made me even MORE determined to focus on my health mentally and physically. I started being more responsible with my dieting and ensuring I was pushing myself without going overboard - so I could lose weight in a HEALTHY manner.
I decided to come back now because I can proudly and officially say that since July 20th, 2018, I have lost 21 KG (46lbs) which is a HUGE deal to me.
I now weigh 96kg and I have just started back at the gym after taking 2 weeks to recover from the miscarriage. I got straight back into the swing of things and physically I haven't felt as great as I do now!
I still have such a LONG way to go but I feel like I can finally ease into a community of others in a similar boat knowing I'll stay afloat rather than pulling the plug and drowning.
I look forward to getting healthy with all of you!!
