Here is a bit of my back story: In 2008, drs thought Coeliac was my health issue. Turns out I have a genetic connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and it's responsible for a host of my issues, with the most notable symptoms being constant joint/muscle pain and joint hyper-extensions/dislocations. For decades drs neglected to look for anything that tied them all together (and as such we are called Zebras) or even address the frequent dislocations and occasional breaks, chalking those up instead to clumsiness on my behalf. On the good side, my blood pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose levels are all perfect, if not a bit low.
Due to the frequent dislocations I experience, traditional exercise is not much of an option for me. No pool nearby, so swimming is out as well. Despite the lack of exercise I was able to lose nearly 6 stone on hCG about seven year ago and was easily maintaining it, however a long bout of prednisolone/prednisone did me in and I've landed back to where I started, with an additional 2kg. The hCG I took before with such success I've now been unable to source so I'm giving intermittent fasting a go.
I've only just started IF this weekend past with most days being 18/6, and I even did a 22/2 with surprisingly no troubles. I am currently sporting a broken foot and a sprained wrist yet have still managed to lose a couple of pounds over the past few days. If I am able to keep at it, and not succumb to the horrid sugar addiction I've developed, I think IF may work for me.
This autumn will be my husband and my 25th wedding anniversary and whilst I have no illusions as to weighing what I did on our wedding day, it would be nice if I am able to weigh less than he at the celebration.
