Barring health conditions I don't know about you, it is absolutely possible for you to lose weight right now. The catch is that it will take work and a lot of consistency (the latter can be a big struggle - I know it can be for me). It will also likely take a lot of time depending on how much weight you have to lose, how old you are, how tall you are, etc.
Tell us what plan you want to do to lose weight. Giving us your stats (height, weight, age, approximate weight loss goal, etc.) will help as well.
I encourage you to dig around the site a bit. There are a lot of inspirational success stories of both people who still use the site and people who have moved on from it. The older threads have a lot of good information in them, and there are new active threads that can help offer support.
I also encourage you to look at what 'success' means for you. Weight loss can be slow (this is normal), and may not go smoothly all the time (this is common), but it's definitely possible for most people.
