Good morning,

Can't believe we only have a couple of days left in April and my heater is still kicking off in the mornings. Yesterday got a lot of walking in. Today I have a couple of things for work to do and then DH, and DD1 and I are going to an outdoor flea market.

I hope you have a beautiful day in your area as well.

Pearlrose, you are channeling my thoughts today! We also had the heat on this morning; today's high will be 30* colder than yesterday.

Yesterday was very productive: cleaning and laundry but I also did some raking in the yard since most of the day was just cloudy rather than rain. Today I went grocery shopping and then spent quite a bit of time meal prepping for the week. I am trying to cook from my freezer this month and so I made some strawberry-rhubarb jello dessert this morning. If spring wants to be so late I will just rush it along!

Looking at the end of the month looming...I am not going to make my WL goal. Today my weight was up after a few splurges...It will probably take 3-4 days of water and OP food to undo the bloat.

Here's to an OP week.

Hi there!

Rose, thanks for getting us started for the week! Flea market sounds fun! Hope it was!

Beth, nice job balancing out all your different chores! I think it’s back to work to you tomorrow. I love cooking from the freezer. These days I’m doing good to just cook.

I got home work then turned back around to show my Best friend some stuff at the Mat. She’s going to be in charge of the quarters while I’m gone. We ended up talking about other stuff for quite a bit then I went to her house to check on her puppy’s growth. Now early to bed. Im working tomorrow at the restaurant 530 to noon as a favor to the boss.

Talk to you al tomorrow.

Good morning,

Getting ready to head into work today for a full day of meetings. Yesterday was not good foodwise, almost made it the whole weekend, so I will not be making my goal for April, going to shoot for entire month of May being op. Exercise has been good so that is one area I am doing good on.

Beth sounds like you have a plan for cooking.

Debbie when do you leave for Alaska?

Have a great day everyone!

Hoping for a good day after a cruddy weekend healthwise with cramps and nausea. However, today is a bit better - except it's tax deadline and I cannot efile. My printer is now working. So I'll call in techy neighbour Moel for help. He's brilliant and will probably resolve the problem but will also find something else to "adjust" and take up most of my day. Fingers crossed.

Would much rather be working on my garden which is looking pretty good after last week's raking and mulching. I have crocus, scillas and the first of the mini daffodils. Unfortunately the dogyard is still very wet so muddy paws are an issue lately. Bruce has done some raking and cleanup in the drier spots but Lake Sheridan is still there!

Spring seems late but I'm sure it'll come.

Good evening,

We had a busy weekend. The boys went to Saturday school to review for the upcoming SSA testing then DH grilled burgers and the boys had friends over. On Sunday after mass we went for lunch at Outback then to the movies to watch The Avengers and then had ice cream. So as you can see I didn't eat OP last night I was feeling super tired so I went to bed at 8pm.

Today, I had a long walk in the morning then I just spend the morning doing chores and gave a bath to Muffin (our dog) DH and discussed about the houses I saw last week and decided on a new community that is building near where we lived. Tomorrow we are going over and see the houses again, maybe we can finally make a decision.

Ruth, I really hope by now you are feeling better.

Thanks

Good morning from Delta where Spring has finally arrived. We finally have a morning temperature above freezing and it looks like May is really here. I put my Spring wreath on the side door yesterday which really gave me a lift. It was a good day to do it because we had a constant stream of drop-ins all day. No time to feel rotten but I did pamper myself with a long soak in the tub while Bruce was out working on the Village spring clean-up. Bed felt good and I am feeling perkier today.

I've decided to pass the tax filing problems off to a local lady - wife of the Baptist minister who has a small accounting business. The returns will be filed late, of course, but they will be done and I can just pay her fee plus my late penalty and be done with it. Remind me never to do taxes for someone else again.

Bruce just had breakfast - a two egg omelet with four slices of bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, home fries, two slices of toast with maple syrup and coffee. He sure has a farm lad appetite but keeps his weight in check. If I'd married him years ago, I'd be in great shape. He also constantly munches on chips, jelly beans, cookies and chocolate. (I try not to hate him!)

So ... on with the day! My garden is calling me! Actually the plot behind the barn is soaking wet but I can work on the raised bed and maybe plant peas and lettuce.

Happy May!

Isa hope yo are able to find a house that works for you

Ruth glad you are starting to feel better, your DH sounds like mine with eating habits.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning!

I’ve been busily working on this rental. Also got my dryers fixed at the laundromat yesterday. I’ve been to Denver this morning to get carpet now I’m sitting on the porch having a cup of coffee before I deliver the carpet to the rental. The neighbor is going to install it today. Yippee!

I think I’m trying to stay home today and get some things accomplished here. We are having heavy rain and it’s supposed to go on all day so if that would be great! It has been so dry here. I did, however, put my hummingbird feeder out today. They are starting to fly around.

Rose, glad you got your first walk in. Do you have a usual route or do you switch it up?

Ruth, glad to hear it’s the dick in your neck of the woods. I hope you’ve been getting a little gardening in.

Have a great day everyone!

Good afternoon, chicks.

It's been a busy few days back at school with a late meeting yesterday and lots of paperwork today. We finally seem to have spring (yay!!) and my daffodils are blooming. Two days of OP eating shed the water weight from the weekend, now I am going to try to move the scale downward this month.

Pearlrose, I tried to do a little yard work yesterday afternoon but I got home late which meant only a short work session. Glad you got to walk outside today.

Debbie, sounds like your projects are moving right along. I don't know where you get your energy!

Ruth, we have standing water in the back yard right now; a few minutes ago there were 2 Canadian Geese hanging out back there. Paying someone to do your taxes sounds like a good idea; we ended up doing that last year.

Isa, deciding on a house is a big decision. Sounds like you and DH have a plan for finding one.

Happy Wednesday, chicks.

Good morning,

Woke up to rainy humid day, had to turn on ac to get the humidity out of the house, hopefully if I turn it up it won't kick off much for a while. Last night we had the kids over and cooked out and played games so it was a fun evening. Today is wfh and doing monthly reports. Yesterday, I booked a cruise for DH, DD2 and I for June, it will be right after a work conference in Florida so works out great.

Debbie you are moving right along with the rental.

Beth it is hard to believe but DD2 gets out of school on May 21 since no snow days were used, it will be here before you know it.

Good morning everyone!

Rose, I wish I were hanging out with you. Your evening sounded really fun! Cruise sounds great, too!

Beth, I hope the day is slow down for you a little bit. There’s always so much to do after having some time off.

Amy, had a little meltdown last night. Went up and the guy who said he could lay carpet it was obvious he couldn’t. There was a patch need it on the floor with plywood and it was really screwed up. Kirk was not wanting to work on the project but now he’s on board with my superduper girlfriend. We’ve been to Home Depot twice and are going to install the carpet ourselves. Bad news for me, I guess I will say sad news. My sister is going to have surgery on 17 May which was when we were going to be in Alaska. It looks like we are not going to go Now. One day at a time. I’ve decided just to get through this carpet for today. And worry about the rest later. Have a great day everyone!

Hey chicks. Another OP day. Weight is where ok; I am hoping for some downward movement this month. Nothing special going on today; it's raining but the weekend looks clear. I will plan on yard work.

Pearlrose, a cruise sounds like fun!

Debbie, sorry to hear the carpet project got messed up but it sounds like you are rolling with it.

Have a good evening.

Good morning,

The last few days have been super busy. We did find a house there is a new construction near where we live, so we get to stay in the same area and the kids don't have to switch school the house is already in progress so we don't have too many options for changes for the exterior, but we like the elevations that were chosen and the color is ok. On Wednesday we were able to chose the color cabinets and counter. It is a Lennar house so there is not many options for upgrades so we are going to stay with tile and carpet in the first floor and few months later after moving, we will get new flooring. We are very excited the house is 2,200sq feet a little small for what we wanted, but we all love it; and the community will have lots of fun stuff for the family. Our tentative closing is mid July so I need to get busy cleaning, sorting and packing!

I am down 2lbs from last month, so I am hoping that I lose another 2lbs this month. eating OP has been a challenge this past few days.

Have a good Friday!
