Default Let's Get SUPER Fit for NEW YEAR'S EVE! Intense Exercise Challenge - LOSE WEIGHT TOO

Hey Featherweights!

Exercise Challenge from now until NEW YEARS! Let's post our calorie burn here each day. I need some accountability and would love for folks to join me.

About me: I have 30 pounds to lose. For several years, I was healthy, fit and in shape. 2 kids and a divorce-in-progress later, my "fit" lifestyle has suffered. Little depression of late has set me back. Food: I'm tracking in a public journal in the 40-somethings area here.

EXERCISE: No doubt I need to move more!!!

THE SUPER CHALLENGE to GET SUPER FIT:

Ok, so I succumbed to Gilmore Girls finally on Netflix. Geez, once Jess entered the scene in Season 2, how could I not? Bottom line, the fact those girls eat junk food all day on the show, I knew there is no way in real life. Looked up what Lauren Graham (have you seen her legs and butt?) does as an exercise routine:

Walking at an incline, hiking, PILATES was mentioned twice.
Her goal to burn: 3500 calories per week
Breaks down to: 500 calories per day

Anyone want to do this with me? Burn 500 calories per day and/or 3500 calories per week? Doing any exercise you want to do?

*******If this is too intense for you, pick your goal number of calories to BURN each week via exercise/steps, and let's stay accountable here!!!!*******

Disclaimer: Please consult a doctor if need be, and approach this in a healthy way ----yes, this is intense, but set your calorie burn at a healthy level for you ----not meant for those folks who are pushing themselves too hard to lose weight they don't need to lose. I encourage healthy eating, and healthy BMIs, and am in no way a licensed health professional so please be responsible for your own health.

LET'S START TOMORROW! Or join in when you want to!!!!

WHAT? SUPER FIT CHALLENGE (lose weight and get super fit!!)
WHEN? From NOW until New Year's Eve

DECIDE - What is your weekly calorie burn goal?
BREAK IT DOWN - What does that break down per day?
POST - here DAILY your exercise burn calorie count. Fitbit might help for steps/calories. If you are weight lifting, do classes or videos, look up what that type of class burns and the length, to find out total burned calorie count.

DON'T Beat yourself up if you miss a day, or miss two. Just get back on the bandwagon and post ASAP. What matters is you are back, and back with it, and we have until NEW YEARS for our goals!

INTRO YOURSELF under this post.
I'll start with mine right now. We can be brief!

Elle (name/screen name)
30 pounds to lose
3500 calories per week to burn
500 calories per day to burn
What I want to shop for when I'm done? (Reward) I would say "little black dress" for New Year's, but I think I'll be more proud in a new pair of skinny jeans. So the jeans win.
Each Day ----I commit to posting my BURN TOTAL for the day HERE!

Name/Screen name:
Goal Amount to Lose (pounds):
Goal Calorie Burn per Week:
Goal Calorie Burn per Day - (of course feel free to take rest days)
What you want to shop for when you are done as your reward?
Will you commit to post your burn total each day?

Hey, even if only one or two of you chime in, this would be great! Even if we have already started here ----PLEASE JUMP in anytime and INTRO yourself with the above and GET STARTED RIGHT AWAY!

LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!

READY, SET, GO!

P.S. If you have more to lose than you can before New Year's Eve, set REALISTIC expectations, and make a MINI-GOAL as far as weight. Adjust your calorie burn goal as needed during the time. Do not kill yourself, but challenge yourself. Our main focus here is EXERCISE and getting SUPER FIT and staying ACCOUNTABLE to one another DAILY!

Hey
Jen
No weight to lose really, I lift heavy. Was under 120 lbs now closer to 125 lbs. I'm debating the 35 and 40 lb free weights I've switched to, up from 20's. I would like to go back to under 120 lbs, but lifting heavier weights is fun, it may be either or.

With school starting, my training has gotten thrown way off (4 hrs commute per day plus work equals home at 7pm, leave at 5:20 am, it's harder working out now).

Oct 25: treadmill 55 minutes, 300 cal, 3.5 incline 3.6 mph
Oct 27: ran around the track during our lunch break until a parent stopped me mid run (literally) for an impromptu parent teacher conference....
Oct 28: gym, shoulders and cardio
Oct 29: chest and cardio
Oct 30: hour treadmill 3.5 incline, 3.7 mph
Oct 31: 30 min stepmill 104 floors, 30 min elliptical
Result- gained two pounds from Friday, exercised daily, it's Tuesday, and I haven't had any added sugar, flour, anything. Frustrating. But, the biceps are huge.

Nov 1- 65 min treadmill, 3.5 Inc/3.7 mph

Thanks Alexistrophic!

I started yesterday...not a super strong start as I got my kids back and didn't make time for some strength training. One of those first grader projects.... "you have to dress up as a book character" nights at the last minute....have a pirate costume....have to go to the store to find a book about a pirate. Lol. And that's after soccer practice for 2 kids, and homework for each of those kids, and then a reading project (somehow last night's homework/projects were the most we have ever had). But not making excuses ))))

I'm still standing and did my workout last night at 10pm. Did not do my full burn 500 calories - however, I'm actually pleased I got anything in, and my goal still stands. Other days will be less hectic.

10/26
1 hour treadmill Incline 1.0 Combo of fast walking, and light running. 250 calories
Did not get any strength training stuff in like I planned. But the goal is still on!
Weigh in this morning = 149.2 (I changed my current weight on here now) and its the first time I have weighed in since I started here.
Goal for NYE = 500 calorie burn per day
Today's calorie burn = 250
Goal weight for NYE = 121

Will report today's exercise later when its done.

Thanks!

Eh.... I have not been so super great about training lately, either... No burn aside from my daily life, which is nothing to write home about at all.

I'm not the best at actually getting to the gym, although you're definitely an inspiration.

It's what we do. I'm married to a bodybuilder! We work out daily, I skip if I have a migraine but not normally besides that. The husband works out 6/7 days religiously.
