Default Really down about myself....

Hey all.

Just needed to type down how I'm feeling so bare with me please.

To start off my whole life even when I was at school I've always been on the "Chubby" side.

Anyways around 11years ago I was best friends with a guy we started dating on and off kinda then we lost touch... then met up dated then lost touch again. Anyways 2 years ago we got back in touch and realise we were just meant to be so made a go of things. Anyways skip to today we now live together and have a son but since the last 2 years and havin a baby I've put on a fair bit of weight. I don't know if it's all in my head and I'm sorry if it's TMI I don't think he is attracted to me anymore. Tonight (I'm in the UK and it's like 1am now) we were erm getting to it in the bedroom if u know what I mean and well he couldn't finish if that makes sense. Me being me well I think it's me. It could be the fact it's too hot or he was tired but he's never had this problem before. I do struggle a bit more than usual in the bedroom department due to my weight. Again I am so sorry for the TMI lol I'm just so scared of losing him because of my weight. Where he could go out there and get someone who he would be more attracted to. I'm in tears here because I'm scared of losing him. He don't know I'm feelin this way and I'm scared of talking to him in case my fears cone true and says he don't love me no more or he just ain't attracted to me anymore.

Sorry for the rant and again TMI I just needed to get that all off my chest.

Hey

It's really good that you were able to get your thoughts off your chest. I don't think TMI would apply to anyone here!

I understand that you wouldn't want to tell him how worried you are. I don't think it would help to tell him that because maybe the root of your worry is that you want to feel more attractive. I think you have good motivation.

As a guy, I do think it would be a great idea to tell him how excited you are about your weight loss goals so that he can share in the excitement. I love it when my partner asks me to help her with anything, maybe he is the same. It's amazing to feel like you are achieving something together and you will both enjoy the journey together far more.

I'd definitely try to be more positive. Life is hard, it's kind of the point. You two are a team and working together just makes sense. Don't be so hard on yourself. Negative thoughts are only going to make this worse and feed your paranoia because that's all it might be. Better yourself for you and your family. Think of one nice thing about yourself to smile about each day and you'll start to notice a difference.

You should talk to him. I also think a lot of what you're thinking is your own insecurity. The best way to fight your insecurity would be to start taking care of yourself. Lose some weight and exercise to build your confidence. I wish you all the best!
